Interesting thread... As a side note, a broker quoted me $3.83 to the dollar yesterday...!

...and for many of us, an economic collapse as in or approximating 2001-2002 will thus be a bonus if we live on outside currency. As a nearly full time teacher in Argentina, I would lose (as most teachers do in any society) from such a crisis. On the other hand, the half pension I have from my home country will be worth more, even if it means increased insecurity here for us as well. The upper to rich class will always be able to take care of itself well in Argentina, it is the lower and middle classes who will really take it in the gut.
