My first aim for my stay in Argentina was to improve my Spanish. A student from my university in Germany, who had also spent some time in Buenos Aires had warmly recommended Gisela as a private Spanish teacher to me. I soon found out that his recommendation was reasonable. The two hours long classes were always very structured, varied and informative. Gisela had requested me about my targets for the Spanish lessons and consequently followed my aim to increase my knowledge of Spanish grammar on the one hand and practice reading and writing Spanish texts on the other hand. I regularly did grammar exercises at home, which Gisela corrected during the classes in order to find out about problems and explain mistakes to me. Furthermore, she often asked me to write texts, so I could practice to express arguments in written Spanish. During the classes I was grateful for being able to talk a lot in Spanish while being corrected by Gisela. Reading aloud newspaper articles or passages from books helped me to improve my pronunciation and learn reading more difficult literature. I highly appreciated Gisela’s wide range of English vocabulary while translating those texts. I would recommend Gisela as a Spanish teacher to everyone, who would like to learn the language in structured and interesting classes and wish her all the best for her future. After finishing my medical studies in Vienna I decided to go on a world trip where I planned a longer stopover in Buenos Aires to improve my Spanish. I couldn’t have chosen a better place nor a better teacher! Gisela Giunti teaches Spanish in her own apartment in the centre of Buenos Aires which has a very friendly and cosy atmosphere. The first class she found out exactly what I was interested in and what my goals were. I chose to learn about Argentinean history and culture together with grammar repetition. Every subject I wanted to learn about she prepared in a very creative way using fotos, videos, poems, etc. Gisela is full of inspiring ideas and knows how to explain grammar in a funny way which also makes it easier to remember. She is a very open minded and energetic person with a great catching laughter. Classes with her were good fun and apart from learning Spanish a way to get to know a great person from Buenos Aires! As you can imagine I can highly recommend you taking Spanish classes with Gisela! Dr. Claudia Schweinzer Eisnergasse 5/34 1160 Vienna Austria Email: spinnenkind80@yahoo.de

To whom it may concern, I lived in Buenos Aires for the period July 2003 until October 2004 and attended spanish classes with Gisela in between my teaching English classes! As a guide, I squeezed in 2 x 1.5 to 2.0 hours per week, which I recommend as an absolute minimum if you want to learn something. Gisela always provided me with new, interesting and challenging material to work with, was extremely patient and is especially talented at making learning a fun experience.   She was always flexible with my hours and enthusiastic about helping me with other needs I had as a foreigner living in Argentina.   She is also a good source of organizing entertainment which is an important aspect of life in Buenos Aires! Importantly her profound knowledge of grammar and its nuances enabled her to explain and teach even the most difficult of structures. I also think it is an advantage that Gisela is a fluent English speaker.  This certainly enhances the ability to provide explanations which I find now that I am a competent Spanish speaker.                 My name is Bill Putnam and I was a student of Gisela Giunti during my month's stay in Buenos Aires from 5 February to 5 March 2007.  I have studied Spanish in a variety of language schools in Guatemala, Costa Rica, and Peru.  I decided to work with Gisela because I hoped that working with a private tutor would better develop my language skills than in a language school.               I made the correct choice.  Gisela is a hands on instructor who makes insightful comments and can explain complex language topics in a simple manner. Working with her and two of her assistants, I found my Spanish greatly improved during our month together.  I highly recommend Gisela as a Spanish professor, and not just because she is a great teacher, but because she cares about her student's development.              In closing, I cannot recommend Gisela enough.  If you have any questions concerning my comments in this letter, please feel free to contact me at putnam_bill@yahoo.com. I took 58 private hours of spanish with Gisela Giunti. In that time I improved my spanish skills from a basic to a highly avanced level in  both written and spoken spanish. What I liked the most was that my  teacher analyzed my individual deficits in the spanish language when  we started the course, and so was able to concentrate on improving  them. She explained very clearly even the more advanced gramatical  problems and prepared very efective execises to learn and practice  them. Talking about news-paper-articles with up-to-date subjects,  interesting short literary texts or songs helped a lot to improve the  conversation skills. Writing commentaries or letters made my  possibilities to express myself in the spanish language broader. Ms.  Giunti was always open to suggestions regarding the lessons, eg. to  prepare an exercise for a special need for the next lesson. Not least  also because she is a very friendly person and we always had a good  and funny time y can recommend Gisela Giunti to anyone who searches  for a competent spanish teacher and wants to be treated with  individual attention. “I wanted to send a note to thank Gisela for the lessons. It was really crucial for me to have an "external" reference point from which to judge my progress each week. Her willingness to be so flexible about days and times, and to give classes on the weekends really helped me out.  I never would have known for example, that my Spanish was progressing so well, had I relied entirely upon the teachers I had during the week. I am pretty sure they were as tired of me as I was of them , after spending all that time together, and what can one say, real progress in a foreign language proceeds at what, at times, depending on one's level, seems like a glacial pace. At the intermediate level I was at that time, it was both a learning experience and fun to discuss the wide range of things we discussed. And Gisela´s specific comments and corrections were excellent. What I liked above all was her flexibility in the choice of subject matter, and her ability to diagnose areas in which i needed to work.  Having her as a once a week "external" observer/participant really gave me the sense that I was learning something each week, and I needed that encouragement.” thanks Thomas Poestchke Canada

Feedback Gisela Giunti taught us Spanish in August and September 2008. She gave us private lessons (1 teacher for 2 students) during our 3-weeks-stay in Buenos Aires. In total, we had 10 lessons of 90 minutes each and were very satisfied with her teaching. The courses covered grammar, reading, listening, writing as well as discussions. Grammar concentrated mainly on the different forms of the past.  We liked the variation of the lessons, the material she provided as well as the inspiring atmosphere. Gisela showed a great ability to meet our needs by adapting her teaching according to our knowledge. She motivated us to speak Spanish and gave us advice to improve our expression. When we had a special interest, she would spontaneously deepen the subject.  Moreover, Gisela showed a lot of flexibility as to where and when the lessons took place. Her excellent teaching allowed us to progress a lot within a short period of time. Salome and Urs, Switzerland
