Brazil Travel money exchange and dni?

I have never/ever seen a credit card reference the cost in the native country and their conversion rate. Ever. CC's reference the date/where transaction was made/cost in dollars. The business also would not change the price of the item based on my CC, the banks that transacted my purchases in...

Brazil Travel money exchange and dni?

For instance, if something was 100 reals which would be 20 USD at 5 reals to 1, when I checked my CC I realizedd I was charged 24.02 USD.

Brazil Travel money exchange and dni?

I was happy to get 4.9 reals in Brazil. The airport was offering 4.45. I used my USA Mastercard with no foreign transaction fee (no fee from Mastercard) but found out that the places I was using my CC at were changing me a substantial CC transaction fee so I whipped out my Benjarmin's and went...

Brazil Travel money exchange and dni?

I tried to use my DNI at the airport in Mendoza and they told me it would not work since I am not a citizen of Argentina, I used my passport and my Argentine wife used here DNI. I don't think your DNI will do the deed, certaintly would have my Passport as backup if you were to give it a go.

Wages in Argentina Suffer Record Drop

Hhmm, ok! I'll ask the people who knock on my door everyday asking for food if their pay has increased in the last year relative to the dollar blue, 50% poverty rate in Argentina brother, those folks don't know and don't care about the dollar blue. I'll go one more round with you but don't be...

Wages in Argentina Suffer Record Drop

Wages are not higher in dollar terms than they were last year, 3-5-10 years ago because wages are in a losing race against the rocketing peso. If one was making 20,000 pesos a month in 2017 when the dollar blue was 18 Pesos to a dollar they would be earning $1,100 dollars a month, today 20,000...

Wages in Argentina Suffer Record Drop

I have lived in Argentina for 14 years and EVERYONE I know earns and has less money than they did 1-3-5 or ten years ago. My wife used to make enough money in 1 month to buy a plane ticket to NYC. Now it takes her 7 or 8 months to save for one.

    The Milei phenomena

Who do you think he has in mind? Haha, you do know he is running for president? B Kennedy Jr. said Covid was designed in a Chinese lab because, “Covid-19 is targeted to attack Caucasians and Black people” and “the people who are most immune are Ashkenazi Jews and Chinese,” and Kennedy Jr...

Is there any way to decline Medicare Pt. B?

https://www.medicareinteractive.org/ is a great site. The following is from the web site. I am retired and have chosen to live on my savings until my full retirement age in 2.5 years. I think if one makes less than 105K a year then they are entitled to the 75% - 25% split outlined below. Part B...

Is there any way to decline Medicare Pt. B?

Hi, I am 5 months out from turning 65 and live in Argentina with no intention of living in the USA again. I have health insurance through my Argentine wife's work and don't feel like I need Medicare plan B but the cost that I have seen in my research says Medicare Plan B is $174 per month (my...

Where can I make clothes donations?

Hello, In my neighborhood there are young men and boys cleaning car windows for pesos and on my route to work there are squater camps. I usually drop off my cloths/shoes... along with a loaf of bread and some cheese to these folks.

Is the expat party coming to an end?

You don't get to drop a lie like the Committee hid them, you just said they are on the congressional website, how is that hidden? McCarthy gave them to Hannity, (evil itself, nothing but lies out of that creeps mouth). So, don't drop garbage on this website and then say who can or can't respond.

Is the expat party coming to an end?

Wade and the people who liked your comment, sure, Trump did not incite the resurrection, (going to be wild) he did not conspire to get fake electors in all of the close race states, he did not beg the attorney general in Georgia to find 11,000 votes, he is not continuing to promote the big...

Is the expat party coming to an end?

Hey Sergio, No doubt Argentina is broken and needs to change, and I agree that education does not need to be universally free but I know many people who consider it a fundamental right. I am not trying to defend every aspect of Argentine society, I am at odds with many things including how young...
