    Wine and airplanes

We are back in the USA and brought back 17 bottles in our checked luggage and had no issues. We did not declare it and were not asked. We did purchase styrofoam wine holders from the Winery and they were a great idea. They take up room but the wine travelled safe. We also packed some in...

    Hot Sauce

The Ya Ya guys are fantastic and the hot sauce has great flavor. It's not intended to be scorching hot. I'm bringing 4 bottles home to the states this weekend. I'll miss that stuff.

    Wine and airplanes

If I'm reading correctly we are fine. Since we are moving back we will probably be over weight so it doesn't matter. I didn't think there was any issue with bottles in your checked baggage so thanks for all the help.

We are heading back to the USA and are going to pack wine to bring home, 17 bottles to be exact. We are moving back so we have plenty of space and luggage for the wine and it's...

Who's bought tortilla chips recently and where?

Carrrefour in Palermo USUALLY has them and Disco sometimes too. It's hit and miss but they are decent chip and it's the only choice.

    Amazing how expensive BsArs is

The instant coffee I buy, which I don't like but it's what I need to do at this time, has went up 66% since I moved here in November 2011. It started at 16.5 pesos and is now 27.5. It's went up from 19 to 27 in a month or so. Amazing.

    Shock at the Supermarket

I've been here 5 1/2 months and most of the things I buy have increased, not all but most. I was drinking Quilmes Red at first and that started out at 6.75 at Carrefour and now 8 or more. Many items have increased 10 to 20% since coming to BsAs. I'm stuck on instant coffee, which I don't like...

    Any advice is welcomed!

Most things are not cheaper if you are earning pesos. If you can earn dollars/pounds then you can live good. Move here with an open mind because it's needed.

Argentina to increase customs inspections at airports

Living here is like watching an accident in slow motion. You know how it's gonna end but you can't turn away. Banning books because of lead? Wow, you can't make this stuff up.
