The worst pizza in the world?

Easier to just say "Argentines are quite proud of their _____" and the rest is just details. Even the dog shit covering the sidewalks is something to be proud of. If there is a greater place in the universe god is saving it for himself.

Racism in BA, am I alone?

I learned about Argentine racism before I even got here, from Argentines I met in Brazil. Just ask a white Argie what a common slur word for a Brazilian is and you'll begin to understand. As for being paranoid, here's something that's happened to me a few times: a woman will pass me from...

Why do you live in BsAs and not the provinces?

I voted other. My reason: in the places I looked, there is not much of market for furnished apartments outside of BsAs. I recently tried Mar del Plata, and off-season furnished rentals simply do not exist. A 2-year lease is too much commitment for me. Aside from select pizza, ice cream and...

Melitta coffee for sale - selling my stash

I’m leaving Argentina, and still have some Melitta coffee from Brazil. They are 500 gram boxes containing vacuum-sealed bags. If interested send me a PM.

    cheap way TO EZE?

Thanks for the responses. I may have come up with a solution: taxi to Aeorparque, and from there get the Manuel Tienda Leon to EZE, which run app once an hour. Cost is 60p, then app. 30p for the taxi in my case. Be sure to check schedule before attempting this. I might give it a miss because...

    cheap way TO EZE?

How about getting TO the airport from the city? I'm out near on Cabildo so taking a taxi to downtown to get the Manuel Tienda Leon seems kind of dumb. Any of the airport transit buses make stops out here en route to the airport? When I came from the airport last November I was able to get...

    Ambien, Sonata or Lunesta?

That's an easy one: every criminal and wannabe would be waiting outside the places to mug the stoners as they emerged. In fact, they would probably be killing each other over who gets to rob the next one.

    Charged twice at the ATM

Happened to me a few times in Brazil. Do not even consider approaching the staff of the local bank, unless you are bored and easily amused, as you'll only get shirking and dumb excuses. Keep whatever receipts you have, call your bank, and let them take care of it.

Does anyone know the current overstay fee? Due to airline flight dates I may have to overstay mine by one or two days.

    Another Argentina Story........

Very well put. I lived in Brazil for a while, and it is the same way, even relatives are suspect. In my own vocabulary I use the term 'Brazilian loan,' a loan that never gets returned.

    Why a facade of indifference?

There is a general culture of mistrust, combined with an almost sociopathic sense of "there is no reason your convenience should be my inconvenience" (in other words: me first, f__k you). I haven't been to every country in world, but I've been around. I haven't seen this kind of rudeness...

Need Advice: Finding Female Impersonators for a Charity Event

There are loads of TV prostitutes in the Constitucion area. I don't know how they would feel about working as servers, but you can always try talking to one about it. Be careful, though, some are ex-cons.
