Any leads on BA restaurants with spicy food?

The hottest food to be found in Buenos Aires is at a place called Un Cuenco Chino. Bartolomé Mitre 1189, Buenos Aires Ask for the real menu. Assure them you want it spicy. I ate a lot of Szechuan food when I lived in China and feel like this place was 10 times hotter than anything I ate in China.

Posts from baexpats replicated on another forum

This seems to have a pretty good guide: https://contenthacker.com/how-to-report-copyright-infringement/ The site is registered with Godaddy so definitely file a copyright complaint with them. And everywhere else outlined in the article. Also, I'd consider detailing his shady actions directly...

    Western Union money transfer

I agree about the rate and wish I could wait, but unfortunately can't hold out any longer. I've been using WU Canada with Revolut based on a comment you made ages ago and don't know if I ever thanked you for that tip. It's saved me a lot of money in transfer fees so I really appreciate you...

    Need Real Estate Agent Recommendation

Please be very, very careful with any recommendations coming from @earlyretirement. He's posted A LOT lately and is clearly drumming up business for his real estate site he linked to above. I'm all fine with self-promotion on this site, but it's taken a really icky and uncomfortable turn lately...

    Selling an adjustable office chair

That's great you sold the chair. I feel like there are people out there who'll spend 35,000 USD furnishing a 2 bed apartment in BA, but then not realize there are great variations in the quality (and price) of furniture. As someone who recently purchased an office chair (and went through the...

    Need Real Estate Agent Recommendation

Definitely contact this real estate agent: https://mgotz.com/ I haven't personally used him for any operations, but I have several friends who have and they all speak remarkably highly of him. He also wrote a book about the buying/selling process in BA that I've got downloaded I could...

    Troubles With Building Administration

I'm currently in a long-term, 3 year contract. We pay expenses, but obviously aren't supposed to pay the extraordinary expenses. The problem is the administration doesn't break out extraordinary and ordinary expenses on the bill we recieve. By law, is this something they should be doing? We did...

Western Union :sender + receiver difference

From what country did you send the money? If I send money from the US for cash pickup, the exchange rate is fixed and the amount is fixed to what the exchange rate was the moment I paid for the transfer. Money sent from other countries (Uruguay, Canada - I think) is paid out at the exchange...

    Permanent residence interview after marriage

We did this a couple months ago, but our interview was conducted over zoom. We showed our ID's at the beginning of the appointment, but that was all. The woman who conducted the interview asked if we had traveled internationally together (apparently this is something they can verify with...

    Western Union money transfer

Is the AUD 0.99 fee you mention for bank to bank transfers or cash pickup? What is the cash pick up fee? I'm from the US and trying to figure out how to send money through WU for cash pickup here by using WU from other countries. Does anyone know who has the lowest fees for cash pickup? I sent...

    New Dentist

Definitely seems steep to me. I recently asked my dentist what a root canal costs (he doesn't do them himself, but he works with another dentist who does) and he said the other dentist was recently charging 20k pesos for the root canal. I'll leave the contact for my dentist here. He's great...

Hotels charging MEP rate for cash payments since Friday

Sorry, I'm still not completely following. What did they actually charge your card in pesos? The 107,000 which will go through at the official rate? That would be so frustrating. Good luck disputing the charge. I've disputed charges here before (pre the parallel rates) and always got the money...

Hotels charging MEP rate for cash payments since Friday

Even before this supposed new tourist dollar, there were always hotels on booking.com trying to charge the blue rate for hotel stays. I've seen several reviews on booking.com about hotels forcing people to pay at the blue rate and always just avoid those ones. Hopefully it won't become a more...

Hotels charging MEP rate for cash payments since Friday

Thank you for the heads up! We need to book a place and normally always use booking.com and pay at the official, but I'll likely just do airbnb now because the prices are similar and that would piss me off. Hopefully this is just one hotel and won't be how all of the places on booking.com react...
