I agree though something I think is worth being cognisant of is that prices in the last few months have escalated even beyond “normal” Argentinian inflation. It’s still not expensive for me but I feel for locals in the last couple of months inflation has bit noticeably harder than ever...
Is this not just supply and demand? Somewhere that charges 39000 for a Milanesa with queues of people willing to pay that has few qualms nor worries about continuing to increase the price beyond the rate of inflation. I expect the headline inflation in touristy areas far outpaces less touristy...
That’s almost certainly what it is. I was in a rush and did try to pay with cash but it was certainly not an option. I don’t think even a debit card was allowed - it had to be credit
There are many countries I’ve been to where Airalo has been miles and above the best option but sadly Argentina isn’t one of them. I echo Lunar’s comment to hit up a major Claro store with your passport. Think that’s the one I went to last week too. Quick, easy and good value
I did the same at Claro last week and my coverage has been swell. I’m just glad that this time I wasn’t forced into buying an SD card I had no use for to get a tourist sim. Have you tried switching your phone off and on again or mobile data off and on? My coverage has been much better than WiFi...
Sadly I’ve never been to mainland Italy but the pizza I had on Favignana has never even been close to being matched.
NB: I’ve probably ordered 3 pizzas here in BA the last week. They’re good and tastier than I’d get in the UK but they aren’t better than I’ve had in Sicily - particularly Favignana
Only been back in BA a week. Hit up WesternUnion once and they only gave me 1000s so I’m not terribly representative. I just rather keep it as it’s still so novel for me - at least in the last week
