does anyone know if there's a place in capital to get a rapid HIV test? i'm only finding ones that take a week or two to come back with results. if anyone has done a test here and has a recommendation, i'd appreciate it. thanks!

I'm curious to hear from someone who has done this recently, as I need to renew soon. It seems absurd to mail in the passport then physically go to the embassy to pay the fee. Is this honestly better than just making an appointment? I recall when adding pages in the embassy in Singapore...

last time i changed money in banco de la nacion i had to certify that id not exchanged more than 2000usd in a month. anyone know if this is enforced? i need to buy a bit more than that in dollars and dont want to go the black market route. any advice on getting more than 2000usd in one day...

ive always done significant exchanges at banco de la nacion on pza de mayo. and then very nervously taken the subway home while clutching the hell out of my bag (i have little faith in taxis here). my understanding was that they had better rates and higher daily limits. am i wasting my time...
