    Just to confirm that I have had an MEP refund to my Amex card. It did seem to take ages though - about 2 weeks !

    Yes, very easy to do this yourself. Just buy argentine plugs and change them. I have done this with all our UK appliances.

    For those looking for a good place to change money in Salta. There is an Arbolito who sits on a chair under a pelequeria sign close to the DAVSA cambio office in Calle Espania. His "office" is VERY close. Good rates ( 311 today) and bills counted by machine. Very safe, no issues.
