    September Flights

    1. Any locutorio should have a fax machine. 2. There are countless services online that will take a doc you send them (via email or upload) and fax it for you. Usually costs 10¢ per page. You can also have your own fax number that the stuff will be faxed from. Look for MyFax or eFax.

I got my citizenship after 6 years

I swear I was about to repeat a version of a comment I’ve made a few times on this forum, saying basically that I am happy to salute someone that appears - despite our frequent, vocal and substantial disagreements - to be a consummate pro at his job. I am happy I read till the end. Now, I can...

People who write he ha hemos has etc without the "h"

Hey, I had a bunch of ANSI codes memorized since I was a kid. Doesn’t compare. Don’t shoot the messenger! Agree that no point in an OS flame war. There are certainly advantages Windows has over Mac. Just saying that entering special characters is not one of them.

People who write he ha hemos has etc without the "h"

This does not work on PC’s. It’s a Mac thing. It isn’t only accents, there’s a world of goodies all available in the same manner. Take “curly” quotes, which Microsoft Word handles on its own but most software does not and should not. Want an double opening quotation mark? Option+[. Closing one...

People who write he ha hemos has etc without the "h"

¿ - Option-? ñ - Option-n, then n. Same as for many other accents (Option-e followed by the letter for ´, Option-` for `, Option-I for ˆ, Option-S for ß, Option-u for umlaut ( ¨ ), etc etc etc. This is really easy enough that a special key is not needed. You commit it to muscle memory in no time.

How much is the Arg. peso really worth?

This. This is an indicator of something, but not of very much. Back in the day, some associates of mine took a couple hundred thousand pesos with them to the US, looking for suckers who would exchange them at the legal rate. It took some traveling, but they managed to get rid of them.

Argentina re-opening international flights in August!

I asked CBP. They made clear that it’s a question of physical presence. I am not addressing whether you can get away with lying (though pretty dubious that that is a strategy when you’re actually landing from Brazil). Just saying that per the rules, a stopover is a no-no.

Argentina re-opening international flights in August!

Worth repeating that if you are not a US citizen/LPR/etc, SP is not a good choice, notwithstanding their direct flights. Even if you are just on a stopover, the moment you step on Brazilian soil you cannot travel to the US for 2 weeks.

Argentina re-opening international flights in August!

LATAM has no special flights scheduled. Their flights were all “regular” flights. As soon as regular order was repealed for September, everything went bye-bye. As long as the “special flight” regime is in effect, the Aerolineas flights are the most stable by a long margin. And though some of...

How can an Argentine national leave the country?

I have not seen anything about 30 days on any French govt. website, or indeed anywhere except the UK govt website you quote. This is what the French govt says: From all this, it sounds like the 30-day rule that the UK page mentions with regard to France is either outdated or never...

Argentina re-opening international flights in August!

These are all special flights and are indeed running. I’ve already sold space on previous special flights to Miami and Cancun. (All the Cancún pax were actually going to the US, this was simply what was available that week). I have several clients flying tonight, will confirm once they’re...

How can an Argentine national leave the country?

This. In Canada we had to confirm we had a plan for this as a condition of being allowed into the country. Walmart and several other stores deliver whatever you need. We actually adopted a local verdulero that you make your order online and they deliver the next morning. It’s great. I cannot...

How can an Argentine national leave the country?

No. Generally speaking, the EU’s rules are about where you’re coming from, not your passport. Americans can enter France from anywhere in Europe as well as from the 10 countries approved by the EU. (The EU approved arrivals from 10 countries at the end of July, including Australia; Canada...

How can an Argentine national leave the country?

There is a direct flight to JFK tomorrow with plenty of room. If you have a valid excuse to go to Canada (an immediate relative, for example), after 2 weeks there you can go to Europe without issue.

I’d have to think back, as this was several years ago. However, as you say finding someone in Chabad who would do this should not be impossible. If this is actually relevant, anyone could PM me and I’d find someone. PS This is the conversation I never expected to be having on this forum...

    Kosher apts (+ food)

Elevators is a whole can of worms that I am not about to open. Just not going there. At any rate, that is not a necessity, as simply requesting a low floor solves that particular problem.
