    Mexico City Long shot

I was in Oaxaca recently. They had a testing station at the airport but I ended up using a lab in town. You might want to check and see if MEX(Benito Juarez)has a similar set-up. Most likely they do.

The Guardian: "Time to challenge Argentina’s white European self-image, black history experts say"

Have read that they, Canada, and the UK are looking at forming an economic bloc.

The Guardian: "Time to challenge Argentina’s white European self-image, black history experts say"

Apparently you aren't aware of the ongoing attacks on "white privilege", etc being pushed in the U.S. Just the other day in a supposed academic journal some professor said that whiteness is a parasitic condition. Among other things. It's not a strawman argument, being white is under attack...

The Guardian: "Time to challenge Argentina’s white European self-image, black history experts say"

Might consider also that Argentina is small population wise on a continent that's mostly not white. People are clinging to their heritage and hopeful that they can keep it in the face of being swamped by other cultures. We hear a lot about what it's like to be a minority in the U.S. Spend...

    Western Union money transfer

So if I go to a WU location, present my debit card and tell them how much I want, it's a lot cheaper than using the website to have money sent to me using the same debit card? Oops, on second glance I see where sender pays in cash at a WU location.

The Guardian: "Time to challenge Argentina’s white European self-image, black history experts say"

But primarily the racial mixing is in the northwest of the country, correct? Southern Italians and Spaniards were mixed from centuries of Moorish conquest long before arriving in Argentina. They to some extent have a resemblance to the mixed population of the Northwest. But the question for...

    My Social Security Account

South Dakota will let you have immediate residency by spending one night in a hotel or campground and bringing the receipt and the receipt from a South Dakota based mail forwarding service to the DMV to get your license. Only state that does that and very popular with fulltime RVer's. No state...

    Dollar Value Predictions 2021/2022

But this is the "BAExpats forum" so how to handle a financial crisis from the home country may be pertinent. Not to mention the Blue Rate exists in order for Argentineans to buy Dollars in order to preserve their wealth as the Peso steadily erodes might be pertinent. But you do you.

    Dollar Value Predictions 2021/2022

And having a "store" of wealth, storage if you will, isn't the same as a store you buy clothes or food from. Sheesh.

    Dollar Value Predictions 2021/2022

Apparently your reading comprehension is lacking. Who said anything about trying to buy things with gold nuggets? I'm merely suggesting that it's wise in case of an economic collapse to keep a percentage of your wealth in gold so that you have something tangible you can exchange at say a bank...

    Dollar Value Predictions 2021/2022

You don't seem to grasp that gold has always been considered money, a store of value, worldwide. Not talking about walking around with a bucket of gold, talking about being able to exchange it for local currency. If the day comes that the Dollar collapses, becomes worth a lot less and major...

    Dollar Value Predictions 2021/2022

Fair enough, but if the Dollar collapses, and it is a big if, those paying the blue rate to get Dollars to preserve their wealth are going to get hammered. And those depending on the blue rate for their Dollars sent by WU are likewise going to be hit hard. Putting some money in gold as a store...

Is Western Union asking non-residents for a CDI now?

Do you know what the limit is you can receive without incurring tax? And if one did do a border run after being here 90 days, then got an extension for another 90 days, and spent the remaining 95 days or so out of the country, would that keep the government happy with him as far as residency...

    Dollar Value Predictions 2021/2022

20% last year, but a good deal more in 2021. The U.S. Dollar hasn't always been the reserve currency, went off the gold standard in 1971, and every fiat currency in history has eventually failed. A good way to make that happen is to inflate away its value through massive printing. Not saying...

    Dollar Value Predictions 2021/2022

Good points but a key thing you wrote was "has been." While 2/3rds of Dollars may be outside the U.S. it's the U.S. Federal Reserve that actually prints those Dollars and something like a third of all Dollars ever printed has occurred in the last year, with much of that in the last two months...

    Dollar Value Predictions 2021/2022

Do Argentines have access to buying gold and silver? If the U.S. has serious inflation due to printing trillions and the Dollar devalues significantly would that upset the blue market for Dollars?

    Why do you choose Argentina?

Guess it might be where you are at in the U.S. There are faith based and other organizations running food banks all over the country. They also run soup kitchens in many locations. I know because I have diabetic neuropathy that keeps me from working, and my pension only goes so far. I...

    Why do you choose Argentina?

Sorry amigo. I worked as a FedEx courier all over the U.S. Have traveled or lived in 47 states. And I've seen some pretty poor places. I've also traveled in extensively in the former Soviet Union, Colombia, and Mexico. In Mexico now. If poor in the U.S. you have access to assistance. You...

    Why do you choose Argentina?

"Whole swaths of the rural U.S. have no grocery stores...." Where would that be exactly? I would challenge you to show me any town of at least a couple thousand that doesn't have a grocery store unless it's close to a bigger town. We live in Overland Park, KS, a nice suburb of Kansas City...

    Why do you choose Argentina?

I've lived and traveled all over the U.S. There is some poverty, but there's a social safety net too. No one has to go hungry in the U.S. if they don't want to. But don't worry, the U.S. economy is on a precipice. Could very well look like Argentina's distant cousin soon.
