    Buquebus Tips

I took Buquebus to go to Montevideo last July. I went there one hour before and was enough, even though it took a long time to go through immigration, so I would suggest adding another 30 minutes, just to be sure. I did not have a lot of luggage, but saw many people with plenty of it and it...

Do Flybondi, Aerolineas and Jetsmart weigh and measure carryons?

Same here. I flew Flybondi in December to go to Puerto Iguazu with just a carryover and they did not measure or weight it both flights.

    Retirement in Buenos Aires

Sorry, adding the second part: don't think however that everybody is supposed to speak it. Please be brave and learn the language of the country that is hosting you.

    Yellow fever and Iguazu

You are right, I forgot about that. If you are going to encounter the same weather I did in January, mosquitoes won't be a big problem.

    Retirement in Buenos Aires

I guess it is possible in Buenos Aires, but you are going to miss a lot of the culture of this wonderful country. I don't know how old are you, but I started studying Spanish in my fifties and now (a few years after) I am reasonably fluent and in general have no problems dealing with...

    Yellow fever and Iguazu

According to the CDC Yellow Fever vaccine should be avoided in breastfeeding women. I don't know about your son, but probably better wait. I got vaccinated in the United States, but I know that there is this place: https://goo.gl/maps/3YG8iBSVjfmAxdXh6 where supposedly you can get free...

    Yellow fever and Iguazu

I was there at the beginning of January 2023 and did not see any requirement anywhere that the yellow fever vaccine was mandatory. I vaccinated anyway, as this is a once in a lifetime. By the way when I was there the weather was almost perfect, with low humidity and zero mosquitoes, but despite...

    ‘Best cities for expats’

From a pure selfish standpoint: good! I love this city and I would like to live there in the near future, so I don't want to see it become yet another Dumaguete or Cuenca.

Visa run being a dual national

According to a lawyer I had contacted a while ago for a consultation, student visa should lead to permanent residency, but on the other hand he had told me that the rentista visa is just for people who have an income from renting a real estate property, and nothing else, but if I have...

Visa run being a dual national

Luckily I have been to Buenos Aires twice, always using the US passport to enter. Mine was just a hypothetical question, and I see the consensus is that alternating passports is NOT a good idea.

Visa run being a dual national

Hi everybody, I am new to this community, this is my first post, even though I have been lurking for a few days and trying to absorb as much information as possible. I am still living in the Unites States but am considering moving to Buenos Aires in the near future. I have already been there a...
