    Casi intomable

Sorry to hijack the thread but I'd just like to point out that in Sugar we don't water down anything. If you ask for Jagermeister or Guinness that's exactly what you get. That statement about watering down is 100% false. It's possible someone asked for jagermeister mixed with something else, so...

    Real "AMERICAN BRUNCH" at Sugar!

I'm one of the owners of Sugar. I'm not promoting the bar here so don't delete my post. I just wanted to say that the bar was closed on saturday night last because during an inspection (of which we get many) they found that the fire extinguishers were due for renewal 2 weeks ago. The company...

    Swimming pool recommendations?

There's one in El Salvador 5470 (between Juan B Justo and Humboldt). I use it all the time. but it's close for renovations till monday 29th. It's pricey, relatively speaking but it's basically a good pool for lane swimming. Open air in summer too.

    6 Nations Rugby

nice statistics FJ. interesting one about Bastareaud. But if he makes any 'Henry' style moves against Ireland I can already see the names they will call him. I want to see a good game. The outcome is important but I want an exciting game more than that.

Looking for Irish living in BA

Hi folks, I've been here over a year and have met very few Irish. They travel by stealth it seems....or they all hang out in hostels in San Telmo and party all day. @SonyGael - any chance I could get the contact of the group that play football ? @Branwell - are you looking for professional...

    Surge Protector help

The power supply here blew the battery pack of my Dell last week. A spike destroyed my HP 2 years ago. I haven't learned as I still plug straight into the mains. :-) But I will buy a surge protector. The Dell technician that replaced the power pack told me I should buy something for 100 pesos...

    The kindness of Argentinians

If you're expecting 'mala onda' that's what you will get. Bad vibes just breed more bad vibes. Argentintians are the same as everyone else...do I really need to say that? There are good and bad. Rule no. 1: Don't be a mug but don't presume everyone is dishonest. Simple.

    Nightlife

sound about right. The last comment is true, BsAs has a lot of clubs/bars where people sit in little groups, and there's no way to strike up a conversation with anyone new. Nightclubs for purely dancing are all about how good you are on the dancefloor, forget about being charming (if you are...

Aerolineas Argentinas and Flight to NZ

Aerolineas changed my flights a couple of days before I was due to fly. I've heard that they just accept bookings and see which days sell more. Then they cancel the ones that aren't going to make money. The excuse is something to do with schedule rearrangement, or air traffic issues, blah blah...
