The other option is to rent a car, then you can leave the country. So, to sum it up, an Argentine can drive your car, or you can rent a car, but you can't drive your own car. Classic A Factor!

It's my understanding that you can have an Argentine drive your car into another country with prior authorization.

I would beg to differ. We were never in the Rat Race back in the US. Argentina (and we lived on a finca and then Patagonia, never BA), taught us many new and life altering views.

Great news! And for you guys in BA that have not, I highly suggest getting out of the big city and exploring Argentina. There are some real amazing spots that must be visited!

The craft fair on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday is among the best in the country. Hopefully that won't change!

I have used Skype for 6 years, it is awesome. If you plan on making a lot of calls, consider buying the unlimited plan, which includes a phone number, voicemail and unlimited calls to either one country or the world, for a very reasonable price. In short, Skype rocks!
