Using your Argentina credit card while traveling outside Argentina

I read the question. The $200 dollars/month is what I said it is. The MEP works the way it works. Some wallets now let you buy dollars at the MEP rate, but that is not what the MEP is. (The person said: I don't understand what MEP is. Is this just a way of buying USA dollars from the bank?)...

Using your Argentina credit card while traveling outside Argentina

Well, the way the MEP and CCL work has always been the same, with one exception. To discourage people from doing it, the government has often imposed "parking" requirements of from one to three days. Currently the requirement is one day. What is means is that to buy dollars using the MEP or...

Using your Argentina credit card while traveling outside Argentina

This isn't true at all. The $200/month limit applied to buying dollars at the official rate. You could and can buy an unlimited number of dollars at the dollar MEP and CCL rates, at least theoretically. I imagine that if you tried to buy too many dollars MEP or CCL, the government may take a...

    Safest way to get US$2000

I contacted them a few minutes ago and they only work with cash; no transfers, unfortunately.

Foreign credit cards purchases at MEP rate

You must be a privileged person. I was at a Banco Nación ATM yesterday that was dispersing 10,000 notes, so I tried to do my final 60,000 withdrawal in one shot, but it still gave me an error for exceeding the 40,000 withdrawal limit.

Anyone heard any over stay horror stories?

Only because he's still here, and has been here for almost five years. And that's what the OP is asking about.

Anyone heard any over stay horror stories?

I know someone who got stuck here because of the Covid quarantine, and he's still here. It's about four and a half years now. It's still a story without an ending, but I'll let you know what happens. But don't hold your breath. He's been threatening to leave for years now.

    ADHD prescription

It's too late for me. I'm back to red wine now. It doesn't help my ADHD, but it let's me not think about it as much. Good luck! And let us know how you make out.

    ADHD prescription

I didn't try Brazil because it was too expensive, so I don't know what types of problems you might face there. But minimally, you'll have to go there and see a doctor at least once, and while I'm not positive, I'm quite sure that they'll never ship the medicine here, even after you get...

    ADHD prescription

I got easily. I had two different doctors (a psychiatrist and a neurologist) that prescribed it for me. Both treated ADHD patients. Unfortunately, the neurologist disappeared on me five or six years ago; just seemed to vanish. It's almost 20 years since I saw the psychiatrist, and I'm...

Got married! Now how to get citizenship?

I got married here in 2009. They did not grant me residency "on the spot." I still had to go through the residency process, which I had been in the middle of since 2004 (several periods of temporary residency). Based on reading some posts here, they now do an interview with you and your...

    ADHD prescription

It's impossible to get amphetamines here. Amphetamine is illegal in Argentina. Unless you can find a way to get them sent from the states, you can forget it. I tried for years and years before giving up. I tried to talk to doctors in Chile, but that didn't work out. You may be able to talk...

    I made an unnecessary problem.

Be honest, tell them that you're not rich, and you don't have money to give them all the time. Tell them that you can give them something once a month (first day, last day, something identifiable), and that's all. Or tell them you no longer have money to give them at all. I've been stalked by...

    Western Union money transfer

I have one. I was in Jumbo in Puerto Madero two days ago and the cashier received one from the person in front of me. He looked at it and looked at it, and he didn't want to accept it, so I bought it from the person to move the line along.
