BA Real Estate market to take a dive before the end of the year.

I don't think we'll ever see any Argentine doing "panic selling" of a decent apartment in BsAs. Argentines don't panic easily, or if they feign to panic, it won't materialize in their selling anything at a super low cost. Panic or no panic, Argentinians are very smart when it comes to protecting...

OverStaying in argentina due to COVID-19

Somehow I doubt that Migraciones would go after you, or pay you the flight ticket back to your home country. Dismiss you, or at a maximum, catch and release you, is what they would do. Don't count on a free airline ride home. You're here until borders are open and you have your own money to pay...

OverStaying in argentina due to COVID-19

I value your answer, and I think you are right, the times have just been frozen. For example, the 90-day tourist-visa period does not run anymore, so to speak. I think you're right on this. Now, a detail, as I also studied Law in my youth. I would think that an administrative suspension does...

OverStaying in argentina due to COVID-19

The vast majority of people (say 75%? and it was 80% four days ago) support quarantine, it's true, but make no mistake, this percentage is falling, probably by the day. And the government knows that. It's a very delicate situation we are in.

OK, if you have the money (all of it) available without delay, in dollars, you might negotiate a 15 or even 20% rebate, If the owner needs the cash, urgently... It's not as interesting (for buyers) as the Corralito times. In any case, you better be extra careful with the property titles.

BA Real Estate market to take a dive before the end of the year.

Here in Buenos Aires, I don't see how prices of Real Estate (private apartments of a reasonable quality) could fall a lot. Probably some prices will fall by five to ten percent max after the coronavirus crisis is over, but, that's it. Now, the prices of commercial locals, it's another story. But...
