    Borders remain closed

Why don't you just go back home for now? You've been agonizing for almost 10 months, wouldn't you be better to wait till it's over in California? What is the point of being in Peru where you have nobody and nothing to stay for - apart from great food...

    Tourism open yet?

since you are in the aviation business, figured i might ask. Is there any talk of a potential replacement of a requirement for a negative PCR with a vaccination passport some time down the road? Once the tourism resumes to a reasonable extent it'll be a nightmare to deal with PCRs...both cost...

    Tourism open yet?

I'd try to play dumb in states and not to mention PCR at all, unless they ask for it. There is no negotiation with stupidity, so all you can do is to keep your fingers crossed. I flew business with United Van to Houston and then Houston to Ezeiza. Had two carry on under the weight limit and a...

Is there an (official) currency exchange in Ezeiza?

except all the locally made stuff is about 3 times more expensive in duty free than in town. But if you want to get some perfumes, european chocolates, etc, you get the best bang for your buck - prices are in dollars, but you pay cash in pesos at an official exchange rate, which makes the...

what's the 9 grand for? they said PCR was supposed to cost 2500 for the non residents. CVBA - which airport are you leaving from in Canada? Did you figure out where to get the PCR done? BC doesn't do private tests unless it's for essential travel...They are so overwhelmed that the results takes...

    Tourism open yet?

well, there are tons of argies who are Canadian landed immigrants and there is a bunch of Canadians with arg permanent residency as well. United is flying from Houston direct to Ezeiza and there is no restriction for Canadians to fly to US, so Air Canada is losing those few who are still going...

you reminded me of a quarter century old slogan of the days Mainframe struggled to get away from spaghetti code... If "ELSE" has to go, then "THEN" has to go too... The govt IT dudes just follow the classic Argentine policy of "god forbid we apply any logic and common sense". Probably the...
