    Recession Continues Under Macri

He is definitely not on the right path. Macri's economic vision made numerous assumptions about the world economy that used to be true, but are not true any longer. First and foremost, he assumed that opening up the Argentine economy would provoke this rush of investment, without ever truly...

    Dollar Exchange

The cuevas are still thriving, but will probably only accept 100s. If they do accept 20s, which is what Ecuadorian ATMs give out (as they do in most US ATMs too), they'll be discounted - my guess is they'd give you 15-15.50 or so. I imagine in Ecuador it will be hard for you to find 100s...

    Hospital Aleman

It might be more credible if you provided more details. I have my insurance at the Aleman and have only wonderful things to say about the care I've received. The one and only thing I do complain about is the cost and the constant price increases, but who doesn't complain about that these days?

    Hospital Aleman

Hi there, a lot of them speak English, and you should be able to request one who does. What you'll need to do first walk in through the double doors on the left (assuming you're entering via the Pueyrredón entrances). As soon as you walk in, there will be a line to the right of you for the cash...

    Atms With High Withdrawal Limits

I am only able to take out 2000something pesos, with a maximum of 5,000some pesos per day. However, these limits apply only to each network. So, you can take out 5,000 at Banelco ATMs (most private banks), and another 5,000 at Link ATMs (Banco Nación, Banco Provincia, etc.)

Almost 12 Months In, What Is The Score?

Even if they made all the necessary reforms and they were perfect, they'd still run into the issue of a dysfunctional global economy, as you suggested. Global economic growth is largely dependent upon U.S. imports, which have risen year-after-year since the 70s... until 2008. While not...

Argie Economics:reduced Sales Increase Prices.constant Rev.

You haven't been following this either, obviously. Macri and his administration broke the law by purposely not holding the public hearings required by law. And even when lower courts said they broke the law, Macri refused to comply and appealed the decision up to the Supreme Court. So, you're...

Argie Economics:reduced Sales Increase Prices.constant Rev.

If you think that the current debate is about public utilities floating at market rates, you seem not to be paying much attention. I seem to recall you harping on about Macri restoring the rule of law and bringing back respect for the institutions. If anything, I would have expected you to be...

Good News For Anyone Receiving International Packages!

They are likely worried about the impacts that this will have on the exchange rate, certain industries, and small businesses. Macri On Cnn With Video

Oh, Ed. Let's not delve into a debate of semantics. So, they have a bunch of plans and ideas -- Wowee -- but at the end of the day it comes down to hope, hope that Argentina will be able to go against the global trends and achieve what no country in the region is achieving (and most of the...

    Macri On Cnn With Video

I am glad that someone (Richard Quest) finally asked him how he plans to achieve such ambitious goals amid the global economic downturn, e.g. hoping to add 20 billion to the FX reserves when almost every Central Bank around the world is hemorrhaging dollars. His answer didn't surprise me: Hope.
