Changes to naturalization law in pipeline?

2 years of residence is defacto required nowadays to start a citizenship case. True, you can file your case anytime, but the paperwork does not start moving until the judge/secretary agree you qualify to apply. It's pretty much a waste of everyone's time to file a case before you have at least...

Milei Wants Argentines to Dollarize the Economy for Him

You see it with the "dolar diarco" where the grocery store is accepting dollars directly. Obviously real estate and car purchases, we'll have to see but the overnight approach seems to not be happening now

    Car rental in Caba

The problem is due to crash testing the metal portion of the car keeps going higher and higher and the rear window is smaller and smaller. To the point on some new cars you can't hardly see out the back at all. Backup cameras have been mandated in the US for a while now. Just not so common here...

    Car rental in Caba

To be honest I have found the driving here totally manageable (though I have a lot of experience driving in developing countries). I'd even say when you're on the highway in the province, driving manners are excellent. There's no left lane hogging, and people will pass and then get over to the...

    Converging Dollars

Indeed it's surprised me as well. Without the advantage of the blue dollar, things really do get expensive here. I'm not sure how the locals are scraping by

    Bring in USD to Argentina

I don't understand the downsides to Zelle? It's superior to ACH in every which way for a personal use case. ACH is not instant, taking multiple business days, and is reversible, often times even coming with a cost. And to make an ACH transfer, you need someones full bank account and routing...

    Car rental in Caba

If you can find one sure. Manual transmissions seem to be the most common. You can rent cars at Aeroparque no problem. Parking in the city is a pain, brush up on those parallel parking skills, cars don't seem to have backup cameras here either. Just bring a passport and your drivers license...

How is renting a flat now e.g for nine months

You can offer additional cash down in lieu of a Garantia for some landlords, but indeed a lot of agents only want a Garantia so you'll have to broaden your search

A bit lost: Applying for a Family reunification visa, Radex application next?

Foreigners are able to own property in Argentina, even with just a passport and no DNI, you'd need to get a tax ID first but there's no issue. I believe there are some threads posted here of others that have done so.

Milei’s Austerity Ravages a Factory Hub at the End of the World

Assembling electronics in one of the most remote places in the world is an aberration, these jobs are artificially subsidized by everybody in the country paying 2x what the true cost of the product is, it shouldn't have happened in the first place

US Embassy: presidential election voting reminder for citizens in ARG

I don't assume there's a way to vote at the embassy if you haven't registered for an absentee ballot yet?
