Yes.
But then I can pay only first and last (not the whole 12 month).
Paying the 12 month in advance is to avoid paying third party seguro caución (an additional cost to me)
Eye opener. Never knew.
But for the sake of argument ,,, if I had no option but paying cash ,,,,, how to do it safely?
I did pay 3 months "garantía" before. It stipulated in the contract. But still was much smaller sum.
I am willing to accommodate his demands (which is very common in Argentina ,,,, as a matter of fact it's the NORME)
Argentine landlord is in the driver seat.
Never ever ever have I paid rent in Argentina to a bank account.
Sounds good to me.
Only issue is how do I make sure such large sum of cash changes hands safely? (Directly into landlord's hands ,,, no bank deposit ,,, no trace)
It is illegal for Russia to prevent Ukraine from installing NATO military on the Ukraine side of the border. In their own sovereign country Ukraine should be able to do whatever they please.
Thrilled someone agrees with my post.
Public transport is not poor at all in US.
The overwhelming majority in US don't have or need a car. They depend on modern public transport networks that cover every square meter in the city. There might exist some bullet trains even if you don't see them.
Would it help if we can pin down the definition of cheap?
If hourly rate can afford 20 bottles @ US$8 ($100,000 peso) each ,,,, would you agree US$8 is cheap?
For Grumpy old retirees (known here as haters, doomers, ,,,) Milie is not a religion. He is an experiment. Life does not hang on his success or failure.
Many Grumpy old retirees earned US$120/hr income in the 90's. Any price was dirt cheap.
For Argentine income ,,,, anything is insanely expensive. Rivaling California prices is Out of wack.
You can compare prices if and only if the day comes where salaries are comparable. Doesn't make any...
Never occurred to me that some expats are invested (building a new life) in Argentina.
Thought we are all grumpy old retirees (hence Argentine haters). Retroactively I would have used a different tone.
With the new 300% inflation and prices that rival California prices and mediocre Argentine income ,,,,, @perry is correct.
BsAs is a good spot to retire.
