    Economic realities post-coronavirus

You're an American, your country does that except 50000x worse. Trust Americans to be in hysterics about China without realising that they're what they think China is for everyone in the world, and worse.

    Economic realities post-coronavirus

No one here says anything about US bases, of which there are hundreds, used to literally invade and subvert democracy.

Name one 'additional condition' included in the loan agreements then. Their conditions are if the loan is not repaid, not to even receive the loan in the frist place. Defending the IMF while living in Argentina should be illegal, especially as a foreigner.

The median Argentine makes $350 a month. Can you tell me if they were in Europe and feel entitled to a free flight home?

    Economic realities post-coronavirus

The difference is that Chinese loans don't come with additional conditions like IMF loans. China just wants to be paid back, but the IMF tries to force you to change your local laws like minimum wages etc.

6 months eviction free law at the Congress

It seems like you're not even factoring in the reason for this law into your assessment, which is that many people have been left without work but have to stay home for extended periods of time and thus without this measure millions of people would be forced onto the street during a pandemic.

Correct, the wording in the law makes it clear that this has been applied automatically and we don't have to do anything.

Is Argentina not letting its own citizens back into the country now?

They are allowed back, just the subsidised reparation flights are cancelled. They've been going for like 2 weeks now so anyone who hasn't signed up for one probably doesn't want to come back anyway.

No, WE deal with the consequences. That's the thing, they don't understand that their actions affect others because they were given everything from birth.

Highly discriminatory comments by government official

That's the point, they AREN'T average argentines. The average Argentine makes $350 a month (this is the actual, factual average wage, including workers en negro). The average Argentine could never hope to save for a European vacation. These people are not average, they are mega privileged, and...

Highly discriminatory comments by government official

Discriminatory... Against the richest and most powerful people in the country? Who went on expensive vacations in the middle of a pandemic and brought the virus back here? Discrimination is about disadvantage, you can't discriminate against the ultra rich. You guys are a treat.

The USA supported dictatorships here that killed 30,000, I think China is a better option than that.

My coronavirus story and escape from Buenos Aires

This is hysterical. Just stay in your house and you'll be fine, whether it's in Rio Negro or Buenos Aires. Argentina is handling the situation much better than the USA is lol.

Travellers to be quarantined on arrival

"Se trata de las frecuencias programadas para viajar desde China, Corea del Sur, Japón, Irán, Europa y Estados Unidos." Your Spanish is terrible.

    You Ain't Seen Nothing Yet

Argentina has taken all the measures that Italy, China, etc did not take until the virus had already massively spread. Public gatherings are banned, flights from affected countries are suspended, etc. The uninformed ramblings of gringos are fun though.

    Rent in Dollars

You can't just do that, even with an informal rental any lawyer would salivate at the mouth at the prospect of such a case. The tenant is well within their rights to change the locks and ignore the landlord except to pay rent.

12,000 Nazis lived in Argentina in 1930s with Swiss bank accounts

On the 7th of February 1949. Argentina recognised it on the 14th of February 1949. The USA knowingly and enthusiastically took in many thousands of Nazis after the war, far more than any other nation. Talking about Argentina is an American deflection tactic...

12,000 Nazis lived in Argentina in 1930s with Swiss bank accounts

Peron was not in power in any capacity in the 1930s. These are German immigrants who were Nazi party members, much like there was in Brazil.
