    Strategies for US inflation

I also sold my home recently, but it was because I want to move somewhere else, perhaps to Argentina. Why do you think real estate is in bubble territory? Wasn’t the housing market crash due to a real estate issue, loan defaults due to bad lending practices or something of that sort? What...

Why not acquire hard assets in USA? Are they cheaper in Argentina? What specific hard assets are you referring to?

    Special dollar account for tourists

Wow. Great find. This sounds interesting. This might solve the issue I raised in another thread of how to pay in Argentina, where it seemed the only blue rate option available for someone without a DNI was cash. I’m very interested in this because it hopefully allows me to pay with a card or...

Anybody up for outdoor coffee chat …???

I’d be interested in meeting some people if I was actually there. Not sure when I’ll be able to make it to BA, but it’s in the planning. Sounds very interesting though. You talk to these people and get to know them in a way, and then to see them in person seems interesting.

How do you pay in Argentina?

I was doing a bit of research online about tip amounts in Argentina and USA. I believe in USA indeed it’s 15-20%. However, I saw some sources say in Argentina it’s 10%. These 2 sources seem to say tipping is common and the amount is about 10%...

How do you pay in Argentina?

So it sounds like without a DNI you have to pay with cash or use the official rate. It’s the carrying cash part I don’t like. But I guess that sounds like the situation currently. Now maybe I need to invest in a bigger wallet. Currently I have a minimalist wallet which is very comfortable...

How do you pay in Argentina?

I believe in another thread someone mentioned there’s a way to exchange crypto for the blue rate as another option. Is there no way to pay in most places using crypto or some other option and to not have to carry cash around, without a DNI?

How do you pay in Argentina?

For someone without a DNI, is there something equivalent to a gift card option there as we have in the USA, where you can basically get a Visa gift card or something like that and keep topping it off with cash?

How do you pay in Argentina?

Do you need to use cash often or can you pay using some kind of card? Do many places require cash only? In the USA I hardly use cash, only have it as backup. Less weight to carry around and not having to worry about cash is nice. In fact now they have lots of places that accept contactless...

Is Argentina being sabotaged from abroad?

Not sure what you’re implying there, that socialist leanings won’t become a big fish, that 45 million population can’t become a big fish? If Britain became a big fish as the British Empire then it’s some evidence that it can happen with small countries as well. Also, they can become a big fish...

Don’t know much about Binance options/features actually.

Are there Cuevas that allow me to exchange USDC stable coins for pesos?

Yes, good question. I’m not sure. Binance I think is one of the more popular ones and might have more options and features, but there are other US exchanges too.

Are there Cuevas that allow me to exchange USDC stable coins for pesos?

Wasn’t there a Binance US version for a while? Here’s their website which is still up: https://www.binance.us/en/home. I believe that one though wasn’t allowed in some states such as Texas, but I think some US Citizens were able to use that version of Binance. However, as mentioned, more...

Is there any use for crypto in Argentina?

I guess they must still be working on it. People criticized that policy of theirs. Not sure why they set it up that way to begin with, but I assume they are going to fix it eventually as they promised. Was it in their terms of service? Probably most people don’t read the terms of service and...

Is Argentina being sabotaged from abroad?

“Bigger fish to fry” unfortunately is the problem. If you try to be a bigger fish then the bad guys will take more interest. Also, I would say the US is not necessarily a single ideology but a country of various ideologies and cultures that are often in conflict, sometimes good and sometimes...
