I might have misunderstood ... are you flying IAH - EZE or EZE - IAH?

Reduced flight schedules and current entry / exit requirements

The reservation systems should by now reflect the ANAC approved/not approved flights until July 31 (with some airlines such as Aerolineas even until August 6). Because if you take a look at the approved flights (approved to carry passengers) for July there is a clear pattern: United Airlines...

    Vacations in Argentina, Anytime Soon??

Even if it was possible: There is a risk of not getting back home with your planned flight. The government here approves flights (or not) as they like.

You could take a gamble and rebook on the 3rd or 10th. Tuesdays seems to be the safest bet. But that could change of course ...

Reduced flight schedules and current entry / exit requirements

There seem to be no limits on the number of passengers leaving Argentina. There are planes from different airlines flying full (or at least with passengers) to the US and without passengers/only with cargo back to Argentina. So, the number of stranded passengers is still growing.

    Any advice?

Getting paid at the 'official' (=fantasy) exchange rate is no good. The 'large' corporations themselves use the "Contado con Liquidación" to exchange dollars to pesos legally (exchange rate similar to the dolar blue rate). So, if they offer a salary in pesos based on the official exchange rate...

Reduced flight schedules and current entry / exit requirements

I did not notice people here saying there is no need to observe the quarantine. But I do not read the forum everyday - so maybe there were some posts like that. One thing that I have noticed is that Argentinians in general seem to have a hard time following rules. I have noticed it a lot during...

Reduced flight schedules and current entry / exit requirements

July 12th is the expected date when the government/ANAC will tell the airlines which flights are approved for the rest of July and which ones aren't. Until then the airlines will not cancel anything.

Reduced flight schedules and current entry / exit requirements

Yeah ... that's unfortunately not correct. The 1400 are passengers stranded per day (estimated by the airlines/IATA). Several airlines fly empty to Buenos Aires and full to the US. Empty meaning no passengers - they do carry cargo on those flights. For example United flies from Buenos Aires to...

... and make sure your salary is set in "dólares". If they actually pay you in pesos then at the black market exchange rate (dólar blue exchange rate).

Reduced flight schedules and current entry / exit requirements

The problem is that they are not very good at math (unless it is related to calculating coimas it seems). 2000 leaving per week and 1000 returning is still 1000 stranded per week. Down from 1400 ... but still 1000 per week creating a bottleneck.

I don't know people from either "mob". But I do know that there is a huge difference between those who left Argentina for business or to get vaccinated and those who left to live abroad/leave for good.

Gines is a corrupt former secretary of health who got fired. Mauricio is just another one of those corrupt politicians that formerly held a government position and do not give a sh*t about people in Argentina.
