I don't know about BA, but we have gone to the ER at the public hospital here a few times. Because it was a child he went right in, taken care of and left free of charge. We've taken our youngest for his shots. You wait in the line for immunizations, get it and leave. It's great. Also when I...

    Has Bariloche Recovered?

No one here has any pride in where they live. It is very distubing to me. Everything you said is true, but the question asked was is the ash still impacting Bariloche. I think it still is very much so. There are days when their is so much ash flying through the air we don't go outside. I try to...

I 100% percent agree with you on this. The insurance problem was one of the main factors in us deciding to move.

Hey, we aren't the ones who decide who is 3rd and 1rst world. I would imagine Argentina could easily be a 1rst world country if they got their act together.

    Has Bariloche Recovered?

The slopes might be open, but this place is a freaking mess. The city asked for the residents to go help downtown to clean up the ash..and hey screw everything else. The city is covered in what looks like a blanket of beach sand. If I were a tourist and I paid to come here in this filth I would...

    Argentinas Coca Cola addiction

At home is one thing, but in a restaurant I don't want to have to pay for water, so if I am going to pay a ridiculous price for a drink it might as well be some soda. Although I am a pepsi drinker.

What food do you miss the most?

I miss Mac and cheese #1. you guys in BA have it good though. Not 1 fast food place in Bariloche. Every restaurant here serves the same menu. Being a family of 5 I hate making every meal or baking from scratch. I miss all the varieties of breakast food too. ohh Quaker flavored oatmeals..mmmmm

    Flights to U.S.

I've been searching every day for months now. No cheap prices at the moment except on despegar.com.ar They have prices for $699 in March of next year and it's not a direct flight. I have a family of 5, so I don't really want to pay the $1100 price everyone is offering right now.

How many of you want to leave Bs As?

I'm not in BA, but Bariloche & I am ready to go home too. Been here almost 2 years, haven't been home once, so I don't know if I am just homesick or really sick of this place. My husband grew up in BA and he didn't want his kids raised there so we moved to Bariloche which has to be one of the...
