    MUST apostille FBI letter

Anyone know what do to if they forget to prepare it to be apostilled? I just got mine back here in Argentina & it certainly does not have a seal or anything on it. This is the 2nd time I'm doing it & if I have to do it a 3rd time I may just shoot someone.

How much i need to bring with me for start?

Very true. lol but all I keep reding is how things are 20% more expensive in Bariloche, so maybe their are cheaper places ( I don't know) in BA if you don't live in the more expensive neighborhoods.

    Finally arriving

My father in law lives in Pilar. It is very nice. However it is quite a drive from San Isidro which is where my husband grew up. Both places are nice, but be prepared for 45min drive each way. We were making this drive every day last year when we stayed in Pilar. Pilar has everything you need (...

    Corrective eye surgery?

well I've never noticed a problem with night vision. My eyes get a litle dry when I stare at the computer screen too long, but still not enough to use drops or anything. FYI, I was 29 at the time & so blind I couldn't see the big E without squinting. Still no problems, but when I do , I will go...

    Corrective eye surgery?

I have had the surgery here. It was 8 years ago on a vacation here to visit my husbands family. Everyone thought I was crazy " why would I get my eyes done in the 3rd world country". Well let me tell you it was the best thing I have ever done. The doctor who did it is a friend of my husbands...

Customs fees for items shipped to Argentina

It is a 50% tax. If you ship it make sure to include a receipt or they are going to pick the price. I've had about 4 boxes sent here to Bariloche & have been lucky enough to not pay taxes because it's presents for the kids but I doubt they'll let a computer slide. Research the cost to ship, tax...

An Ex-Expat's Observations from the US

I moved here because my husband is Argentinian & we wanted a better place to raise our kids. Yes it is my fault for agreeing to move to a place I never visited. I had been to Buenos Aires several times to visit his family & assumed where we would be living would be like that. Again my fault. I...

An Ex-Expat's Observations from the US

I don't know why their is so much hostility with someone moving back to the States. It's their desicion. What do we care. Every other day I want to move back. Not because it's better, but because it's what I know. I had friends & family there. Here (in Bariloche) I have none.
