My Argentinian wife really dislikes the US. Typical of Argentinians?

I find literally all the people I've come in contact with here in Argentina either have no opinion of Trump or a favorable opinion of him. I do, however, appreciate your clarifying that comment!

My Argentinian wife really dislikes the US. Typical of Argentinians?

lol..."the general dislike"....unless you are a general with an opinion unlike most Americans, you'll find Trump in the White House until noon, Jan 20, 2025.

Is Puerto Madera safe to walk around at night?

The only true tested accurate figure is whether you've been mugged. I lived in Philadelphia, PA for many years and was robbed, at gunpoint, at 6pm on a weekday in Rittenhouse Square, the "supposedly" most secure area in the city. Just don't walk in BS AS waiving your cellphone nor count money in...

Is Puerto Madera safe to walk around at night?

A statistic is just that; Use those "statistics" as you wander around Miami and get mugged. Crime is everywhere.

Is Puerto Madera safe to walk around at night?

It's as safe as Ft Lauderdale, Miami Beach or NY City. These days, anything can happen anywhere. I've been in Argentina the better part of the last 7 years and feel safer here than in Ft Lauderdale, where my house is.

    Immigration question

I followed the residency route so as to avoid the (albeit remote) possibility of being denied entry to Argentina as I either return annually to the US for a VA medical checkup or did the 90 day expat shuffle to Uruguay to stay "legal". Some on this site say doing the expat shuffle negates a...

    Immigration question

Except for the time, the procedure was relatively simple (though had an Argentina friend accompany me). Had I tried this on my own, not being fluent in Spanish, the result might not have been as good.

    Immigration question

Hello Steveinbsas...Following up (finally) on your suggestions today I received a precaria after getting the certificate domicilio, penales antecedents and the Spanish issued letter from the US embassy (& had it certified at the office on Aranales near Retiro). The appointment was between 10-12...

    Expat shuffle to Colonia

Despite numerous postings advising against doing a visa run from BS AS to Colonia, I did the Buquebus this past Tuesday with absolutely no trouble. Just letting others here know it's an option.

How Can I Bring Money to Argentina/Uruguay?

Your chance of getting mugged in Your chance of getting mugged in Uruguay probably less than it happening in Miami. As far as corrupt officials, they're everywhere.

How Can I Bring Money to Argentina/Uruguay?

It's my understanding you can carry more than $10,000 AS LONG AS YOU DECLARE IT. If it's legal, then there shouldn't be a problem.

Donald Trump coming to Buenos Aires...

Few will like Trump AND Cristina. That's like saying Hilliary Clinton and Trump are on the same page. If you're indeed a "C" student, you obviously didn't get it. Keep trying, the third time is the charm. Far from burning out I'm still here and have been for quite a while.
