But in Europe, countries can´t go back. The EU is irreversible. The aim is to give EU member states as much freedom as the soviet republics had. Digressing a little but no parties in the Cold War ever had any intention of going to war. They say you can do more things in five years of war time...

I've always said Greece shouldn't have been allowed in the EU, the Greek economy has always been a mess. Even with the new eastern European countries, they are still one of the weakest links in the EU.

Yes. If the Argentine gov really wanted the Falklands they should have carried on the peaceful talks pre 1982. They would have the islands by now. I think the Argentine gov like the idea of playing the old Malvina card whenever they want some good will.

Oh yes, they aren't free to choose to whether to accept the Euro or not. Essentially the new countries that joined in 2004 were forced to accept the currency. It wouldn't surprise me if Blair and Brown made a secret agreement to join the Euro behind the back of British citizens. Who really knows...

I sadly think the EURO is here to stay, the fat cats at the EU won´t let it fail. I´m sorry but the EU is an expensive scam that isn´t good for the people. It might have brought some benefits, but the negatives outweigh them all. It is even more undemocratic then the national govs. It is worse...
