Horrible Restaurant: La Coqueta José Evaristo Uriburu 1680

Do you still have the receipt? Check if it says "Factura A" ("A Invoice"), or the letters A, B or C somewhere on the top. If it says this, it is a legal invoice, if it says "no valido como factura" (not valid as invoice) or "talon de pago" and/or the letter "X", this means it is a fake invoice...

If You Are A Brit, Clap Your Hands!

Thanks for the link, looks really interesting. Will take a look and try to differenciate each accent in the future. Regarding to butchering the language, I agree with you, the British never butcher the writing, even if they write fast :)

If You Are A Brit, Clap Your Hands!

"Water" sounds very different in the British and the American English to me. British speakers seem to soft or erase the "R" at the end, and Americans pronounce a soft "T" in the middle which sounds very similar to a "D". "Quiero agua!!!" is not that elegant but it is easier to understand.

If You Are A Brit, Clap Your Hands!

The English culture in general tends to be polite and calm, but it is also true there is everything. (like the Hooligans and etc.....) Like many others, Lady Di was raised by English parents and I guess she had a good temper and was a nice person; I believe she was loved in her community...

    Expat Deported At Ezeiza

IMHO I believe any attempt of a magical solution might just en-worsen their situation and also can be risky for their health. Immigrant officers do not like being fooled in their job (I guess nobody likes). Default arrived or is around the corner (no big difference) and the restrictions will be...

    Expat Deported At Ezeiza

I do not think it is going to be easy for him to return Argentina. He will need an excellent lawyer, patience, and good luck; Argentina let's almost anybody in, unless many things are wrong. Needless to say that there are many problems in this country, but almost anybody is allowed to stay here...

    let,s cheer ourselves up

I still do not get who he is trying to offend. No Argentinean says "vosostros", so then it is for everyone that lives in Argentina, and every Spanish speaker that lives in south America, just because was born in South America. Apply the filter... Countdown To Default!

I blocked Don Alberto because I saw comments like: http://baexpats.org/topic/30512-should-argentina-default-on-its-debt/page__hl__favaloro__st__200 Do remember Viveza criolla ( http://en.wikipedia..../Viveza_criolla http://es.wikipedia..../Viveza_criolla )...

    Countdown To Default!

I was describing the 2nd and 3rd terms, confused 1955 by 1958, sorry for the confusion, but the idea keeps the same. Atucha started in 1968. When Peron dies in 1974 Isabelita continues as a same government up to 1976, 1973-1974 is more appropiate for this description. I edited my previous comment.

    Countdown To Default!

Peron was president in 1952-1955 period (second term) and in the 1973-1974 period. Atucha I construction started in 1968 and was finished in 1974. So seems that most of the construction was not done during the Peron government. By his inauguration, "Atucha I" was almost finished, and the...

Gas Water Heater - Keep On Or Turn Off?

I would follow gpop recommendations, turning heater off and on many times is not a good idea, the pieces are not always made of a good quality material and if it does not turn on, it is going to be a headache for you. A plumber once advised me to set the heater in the "pilot" position after...

A 狗 is a 狗 , with or without money, it is not a matter of nationalities. Birds of a feather flock together. Arrogant people flock together too. Today learnt how to write food and water, and adage in Argentina for persons who always protest is: "Se ahoga en un vaso de agua"

:) will see what happens after taking lessons. This is the most exciting part. If cannot move forward I will try with different teachers. Today I saw 2 new symbols "dog" and "cat". 狗 Gǒu - 猫 Māo . It does not matter to me if I am not understood at first. I will find the way later on.

Effects Of A Default On Expats

I believe in your words, but it is also true that there sometimes cases of corruption in the US with political tendencies. Like this one: Ex-judge, three others sentenced in vote fraud: http://www.courier-j...-fraud/7536395/ Also, as far as I know there were amnesty projects (for instance for...

    China Loan Argentina 7.5 Billion

Thanks for the tips, am I investigating a bit and see why it is said that is simple to learn how to talk but not how to write. The more I see I am more convinced to start learning, and yes the writing is not simple. Today I have seen that it/he/she seems to have the same sound Tā; but written...

Thanks for the comment, it seems that in Chinese something similar happens. but 美 means US, 元 means Yuan, and when they are joined it becomes dollar = 美元 Seems that with a few symbols they can write lot of things, but the characters should be big in order to see the details. USA is 美国 , and...
