That is a great deal, I am sure a lot of Argentinians would love to go there and live for a year until they relized how boring it is compared to Argentina. I do agree the house and location is beautiful and very cheap.

I would not recommend walking around with a ton of cash, neither leaving it in hostel or hotel. The ATM's here will give you 600 pesos per day and the small fee's they charge are really worth the convinience and security.

That is for short term rental, if you stay more than 2 years the price gets a lot cheaper.

Ye that is the same stupid comment I hear from Brazilians about the expensive and time consuming process to get a tourist visa for North American tourists. What they (Brazil and Chile that also charges for visa) don't get is that millions of tourist skip those countries on there South American...

It is actually worse for expats earning dollars living here since the peso is still around 3.15 same as a year ago but the wages in pesos and services has to some extent followed the inflation.
