    Permanent residence interview after marriage

After 4 months, I finally received an email yesterday requesting a few more documents (one of which was already given since the beginning but anyway...). I sent the additional documents right away and today I received another email informing me about the interview date scheduled for next week. :)

Any leads on BA restaurants with spicy food?

I cook my own spicy dishes every day 😁 but try Cang Tin (Vietnamese/Thai place). I haven't been there yet but the food looks really good on Instagram. I'm sure you can ask for the level of spicy you'd like.

    Una banda de marriage requirements

Different officers, different requirements. Someone I know told me that her friend got married or did residency (not sure which case) in Cordoba and they told her that she needed to give them her birth certificate (translated and legalized ). It was very difficult for her because her home...

    Una banda de marriage requirements

Where was this? I got married in August in CABA and the only document required was my passport. Even permanent residency doesn't require birth certificate but citizenship does.

    Prices

Apple is not a tropical fruit. I suppose mostly apples in the PH are imported, hence the higher price compared to other local fruits.

    Permanent residence interview after marriage

I was mistaken. I didn't go to the police station but to "registro nacional de reincidencia" to get the penales. I paid extra to expedite the tramite and they told us we'd need to get the penales anyway. There's some confusion with the info on the page I think. I'm not sure what it was but I...

    Argentina isn't the cheapest

Maybe I should start my gai pad med mamuang business here haha I see plenty of cashews at Coto. There won't be a short supply and chicken is cheap. Actually, I've been cooking every day but chicken cashew nuts is the one thing that I haven't since I moved here. Thanks for giving me the idea :)

    Argentina isn't the cheapest

Well, let me know when you come to CABA and let's do lunch. Don't get me wrong. Chorizo at all the parillas that I normally order for appetizer is always delicious and not salty and I normally don't buy chorizo at Coto but a few days I wanted to try and I was disappointed. It felt like half the...

    Argentina isn't the cheapest

No. Thai food isn't that salty. It's a balance of sweet, sour, salty and of course spicy but it depends on the dish. Some places make it on the sweet side but I don't like that. Things that are supposed to be sweet yeah can be sweet but when they make things that are not supposed to be sweet...

    Permanent residence interview after marriage

I went to migraciones last month in CABA. There was no interview. I gave them my translated birth certificate but they said they didn't need the birth certificate but I did have to translate my passport from English to Spanish and I had to go get the penales argentinos at a local police station...

    Permanent residence interview after marriage

I did mine last month in CABA and no interview either. All they did was check and scan all the documents and let me know which docs I was missing and rescheduled me. It seems each migraciones branch has their own requirements.

    Argentina isn't the cheapest

I have a 2-bedroom 55 sq. m. apartment in BKK with nice gym, club house and 50m infinity pool and the rent I saw at the real estate agent downstairs is only around $430-500 (this is post-covid. Pre-covid, a friend of mine rented a room this size next to my room and it cost him $570-700)...

    Argentina isn't the cheapest

I believe I am the only one qualified to compare Bangkok and Buenos Aires with real prices since I'm from Bangkok and I'm living in Buenos Aires now. Given that we use dollar blue rate, there are a lot of things that are cheaper in Bangkok but there are things that are more expensive there as...

Is it normal for Migraciones to ask for your passport to be translated for PR?

It's bilingual in both Thai and English.

Is it normal for Migraciones to ask for your passport to be translated for PR?

All passports have English plus other official languages depending on each country. Unless your passport has Spanish on it, I guess my case is probably random and the officer just wanted to make my life more difficult out of spite for whatever unknown reasons. 🤷🏽‍♂️🤷🏽‍♂️🤷🏽‍♂️ It just doesn’t...
