That's my point. Either you have to intervene hardcore into the internet infrastructure, or it's basically useless. And even in the most censored countries, there are ways around blocking of content (though the inconvenience there would be too high for the typical app user).

Technically, it's close to impossible to effectively block an app without serious interventions in the internet. I'd doubt that a) the people would even have the required knowledge how to do it and B) the laws would allow such kind of censorship.
