Organic or GMO , local veduleria or Jumbo , wash all veggies in a little soap and vinegar to be sure they are clean. Rinse well. They do not taste better , but at least the are clean.....

Italy has come a long way. Used to be no TP in public rest rooms , much less clean or with soap. As is habit from years of living in Italy pre - EU , I always have some small packs of tissue. Now most all places are well stocked. I do use the bidet , when absolutely needed.
