One thing I like about BA is that there aren't as many chain restaurants. Each outing is adventure. Then again, I guess you could say that all BA restaurants still serve the same food like a chain does. I mean, who even needs a menu? We all know what's on them. I just miss affordable variety.

There's a new fish market in Las Cañitas at the corner of Arce and Ortego y Gasset. Very clean place. Fish is visible on ice for you to choose, of course.

I have had to do the same thing. It's probably because you hit the AR$40,000 mark, right. I actually bypassed Xoom's request for info and just took in all the documents about my income and bank statements to MORE and within 15 minutes of them checking stuff, I was set and haven't been asked any...

Arredo does not have cheap sheets. They are among the cheapest in BA, however. :)

Although I didn't go, I'm glad to hear that the "real" expat community is full of wonderful folks who know how to enjoy and relax. This forum can lead you to believe otherwise.

You should be fine just putting your actual address here in BA. We've never had ours verified or questioned. I send money to myself regularly. Libertad 1057 is the only pick-up location. They open at 9am on normal business days. I'm not sure of their closing time.
