Am I the only person in Argentina that finds the term "chinito" offensive?

Eliminate "Go back to where y came from" then we will discuss "Gorda" "nigra" "chinito". It won 2016 and will win 2020 (and beyond I´d say). Guaranteed. Take it to the bank.

Am I the only person in Argentina that finds the term "chinito" offensive?

Is it possible that those will be frequenting BRAZILExpats.org (so to speak) rather than here on BAExpats.org? Fifty-two inmates killed in Brazil prison riot; 16 decapitated, some burned alive. If Argentina is racist, what adjective could describe Brazil? Is violence a symptom of underlying...

The $5 peso bill is being replaced by the $5 peso coin

What is absurd is the lack of $1000 and $500 bills. 99% of the time you will get $100 bills. Paying the rent is a monthly pain in the a**.

Plastic straws banned in BA restaurants.

What percentage do straws represent out of the insurmountable mountains of non-degradable polymers industry? 0.0000000000000001? Curious! Really? Straws? Reminds me of 2 shirtless guys commercial on CNN collecting money claiming they are cleaning THE OCEAN 7/24.

Am I the only person in Argentina that finds the term "chinito" offensive?

Am I The Only One .... ? Not by a long shot. The majority predominant voting issue of 2016, and 2020. Is there anything that isn´t considered "racism"? The question is: Is there anyone willing to call a spade a spade nowadays? Crossing a red light is a crystal clear straight forward offense. No...

Your question about other categories: Rentista, pensionado, investor, sports, scientist, religious, medical, refugee, humanitarian, family, marriage, children, diplomat, etc etc. But this will have to wait for another day where you have time to start all over again from ground zero. Not now...

    Multiple Re-Entries During Months-Long Stay

If the OP is asking about the discretion of immigration, well they can deny even your very first entry to the country. However, I don´t think that is what the OP is questioning.

    TransferWise comes to Argentina

TW problem, not BNA problem (surprised and disappointed). TW posted the following on my account: "Your money's taking longer to pay out" No further explanation. Nothing else. It has been 5 days so far.

Probably a very stupid question but...

Also notice 90 days expire Aug 4, not Aug 5. 90 days, not 3 months.

    TransferWise comes to Argentina

TW is disappointing me big time. Yesterday I spent the whole day up to the highest level in casa central Banco La Nacion (BNA). BNA left no stone unturned (surprisingly). The funds never ever reached BNA. Looking back at my previous TW transactions BNA concluded that TW funds come through an...

    TransferWise comes to Argentina

It took 3 clicks yesterday to TransferWise money to my self. Less than 10 seconds I was done. My money arrived this morning. AMAZING TW. But by afternoon, Banco Nacion fuc*** up the whole thing and returned back the money. 3rd time repeat. So mad could scream. Pathetic.

    TransferWise comes to Argentina

I never ever supplied any documentation whatsoever. Since my day one test transfer, I kept my amount below $1000US. Later I tried an amount above $1000US and immediately noticed that they started to ask for documentation, so I canceled. Maybe this is the secret of simplicity! The TW "magia"! 3...

I love the Venezuelans in Buenos Aires

@sergio: It takes a good part of a year (if not years) to take courses and pass equivalency tests to certify professional credentials of foreign countries. Applies to any country. Not specific to Argentina. @Ceviche: Since you are one of the very few who have been to Caracas, it would be...

I love the Venezuelans in Buenos Aires

Please, take it easy @Somewhereinba. I´m not disagreeing with you. I´m trying to say, they are not used to open bottles of wine in restaurants. They were lawyers and doctors in their country. They were not groomed to be career waiters or remis drivers. Sorry if my post was misunderstood.

I love the Venezuelans in Buenos Aires

I have a hunch that Venezuelans in Argentina are not the Chavistas or the Mestizos. Venezuelans in Argentina are the Europeans who used to be the ruling class in their country before Chavez. Venezuelans are 2/3 Chavistas Mestizos, and 1/3 Europeans (Chavez opponents).
