Got spoiled in the Washington, D.C. area, with dozens of superb Vietnamese restaurants. It is a great cuisine, a wonderful mix of French and Chinese cooking. On the other hand, no Korean restaurants there. But plenty of Eskimo, Latvian, Samoan, and Belize restaurants.

How about a good Vietnamese restaurant? Haven't found any yet.

My dogs traveled as checked luggage without any trouble. Just make sure not to give your cat any sleeping pills, and put a favorite pillow or blanket in the crate so there will be a familiar smell.

Are you sure the cat can't travel with you? I believe they are allowed in the cabin, provided the carrier fits under the seat. It is far better for the cat, and far better for your wallet, as they pay as an extra piece of luggage: only $100 or $200, depending on the airline.

I cleaned the port three times, as instructed in YouTube videos - still not charging. Currently waiting for the wireless charger I bought in the US.

I'm using the newer iPhone 13 charger for both phones. That's one Apple missed: it is the same port for both models, eight years apart. Unlike its Air machines, with different charge ports every couple of years. Designed to force suckers like me to buy new chargers or their exclusive...

Just thinking....my dinosaur iPhone 6's charging port wasn't cleaned in ten nears, and works just fine. The "more advanced" 13 port had to be professionally cleaned at six months, and it has now stopped working. Chalk one for the dinosaurs.

Good to know that it wasn't just me. I'll get a MagSafe charger. But I've had it with Apple and their propietary gimmicks. They got too big, and they got too arrogant. Will switch to a PC and to other brand of cell phone in the future.

My trusted iPhone 6 got charged with the charger that would not work with the 13. Must be the phone. Tried cleaning the charger port and now it is charging just to 4%. Then it stops.

What is wireless charging? Never heard of it. (As I never heard of so many technologically advanced things...) I tried three different cables plus the original iPhone charger, and none worked.

Won't charge. Had trouble from the start. I had an 1Phone 6 built like a Mack truck - after eight years still works fine. Sadly, I gave it away when I got the newer one in 2023. Big mistake...! HUGE...!

An US$800 mistake, good now only as a paperweight. Am looking at a Samsung Galaxy A15, 128 GB, 279 dollars at Personal. Any better alternatives? Opinions, please.

Amazon is selling returned, used merchandise as new. I got a bedspread that had clearly been used and washed several times. The colors were a bit faded, and the tags were wrinkled. I did not bother lodging a complain but just returned it, no doubt to be sold to the next sucker. Savvy...
