What are I and my wife's residency options in this scenario and the new changes?

Thanks. Luckily, I’ve been a permanent resident since 2020, so no issues there. Unless they question why I haven’t had a monotributo since then

What are I and my wife's residency options in this scenario and the new changes?

Has this been the case in the past? I am in negro but plan to finally get a monotributo

Long Term Rental with Temporary Residence

Its because the law makes it’s hard to remove people if they don’t pay, and practically impossible if they have kids. So renting out your place without a guarantee is risky for owners. Airbnb, I feel, is actually one of the cheapest ways of renting if you consider the commission of a temporary...

Confirmed: the BCRA is intervening in the exchange rate.

And one of the other things I hate about the government is the hypocrisy. Milei also said, in his typically aggressive way, that getting in debt was immoral, that going to the IMF was awful and what countries do when they are on the brink of collapse. 18 months later here we are with a big IMF...

Confirmed: the BCRA is intervening in the exchange rate.

It’s one of the things I most hate about the government. If you question or disagree, you’re a kuka. The fact that they have to come out and defend the economic plans says a lot in itself.

Confirmed: the BCRA is intervening in the exchange rate.

It’s insane isn’t it? If they have to spend that much to contain it. What should it be now? Read that October 2023’s level would be 3,500 right now.

Confirmed: the BCRA is intervening in the exchange rate.

We all knew it anyway, but yesterday it was confirmed that BCRA is intervening in the futures market to manipulate the exchange rate - and with a big increase in May too. Link in English (hopefully it works)...

Milei gets Tuttle Twins to teach free markets to Argentine kids

But the difference now is we have a supposedly anti-state government who had said they’d shut down the public broadcaster.

Argentina is now importing beef from Brazil

The price differences are stark according to this link. Unsure how to translate: https://www.iprofesional.com/economia/429533-vuelan-las-importaciones-de-carne-y-el-gobierno-espera-una-baja-en-los-precios.amp Meat prices are ridiculous. It’s cheaper for us to eat milanesa from a restaurant...

Milei gets Tuttle Twins to teach free markets to Argentine kids

I despise Milei’s hypocrisy. Why is there even a state broadcaster pumping out propaganda under a libertarian government? Really not liking this government at all.

    Our peso in Bloomberg

Thank heavens I fly to Colombia on Saturday for 3 months. The cost of everything in USD is horrible. All the economists are warning about the exchange rate and reserves again. I wonder if it’ll blow up like it did on Caputo in 2018 when the peso collapsed from like 30 to 50 in a day. Still...

Milei Beefs With Darin Over Price of a Dozen Empanadas

And to think the dollar has barely changed since then. Utterly ridiculous

Milei Beefs With Darin Over Price of a Dozen Empanadas

It says a lot about things how much the government went into overdrive to counteract this and try to discredit Darin.

Journalist reports intelligence services could target critics

Anyone who criticises the libertarian regime is a Kuka.

    No Alcohol This Weekend.

It’s from 8pm Saturday. You can usually get booze in a chino or 24 hour kiosko. I even went to a private party organised in 2019 the day before Alberto Fernandez won, felt more like a boliche.

    Immigration changes: Health, Education, Deportation

I hate this government even more by the day. Luckily, I have always had legal residency and 5 years of permanent residency, granted in November 2020. I didn’t then leave Argentina until May 2023 when I went to Foz do Iguacu for a day and then for 3 months when I went to Colombia in 2024 a trip I...

Asian food prices in Buenos Aires

If you walk around Palermo, it’s amazing how many places are closing. It’s turning into a ghost town. Eating out and ordering food is ridiculous. The average business owner here is going to need to learn to live off volume not margin.

Caputo creating a tax haven for dollars "from wherever"

The dollar went down to nearly 1100 today. Seriously, how do they expect people to spend their USD (that they've saved over the years) on everyday purchases here when everything in so expensive in dollars? It makes no sense. You wouldn't spend your dollars on anything at such a low exchange rate.
