Diet: Living on beef and eggs

Again, opinions on YouTube and social media are not the same thing as facts. If you think they're the same, good luck to you.

Diet: Living on beef and eggs

Regardless of the validity any of the individual points made in this thread, the simple fact is that hardly anyone is citing credible sources, while the subject is a serious one: health through nutrition. Saying things is tempting, low effort, and in the case of health subjects, dangerous. As...

    Cash suggestions - Buenos Aires

They can get really crazy. I would have to be in an emergency to use them.

    Cash suggestions - Buenos Aires

Sounds like you were unlucky with those two branches. Western Union usually has plenty of cash. Use their app to transfer the money to yourself and bring your passport (not ID) for the pickup. Ton of branches around town.

    Settlement in Tierra del Fuego

I would also suggest visiting there before making up your mind. I’ve found it depressing over there. Ushuaia especially.

At Eze airport a Custom employee tried to ask me to pay him a bribe

I’ve made it in and out with two MacBooks, two iPhones and an iPad several times. Some in my suitcase, some in my shoulder bag.

I Went To See A Band...

Thanks. Instagram I kinda knew is the way to go, but I don't really want to follow and peruse hundreds of accounts. Maybe if I did it using a separate IG account of mine... You're totally right though that ultimately results take effort. Thanks for the venue recommendations. Some I knew, some I...

I Went To See A Band...

Hey Ries, may I ask how you find out about these gigs? They align a lot with my desire to see something more original than punk rock or rock nacional. I know there’s plenty in BA, but it’s hard to stay informed. Subscribing to this thread to learn about these acts, but of course to know (how...

    Visa extension

Part of the reason I asked is because some of the messages in related threads on this forum, argue against going to Migraciones at Retiro for a proper visa extension, as supposedly that puts you on record, potentially giving you more scrutiny in the future than if you hadn't

    Visa extension

Thanks, but I'm not seeing evidence in there that the 'old border run doesn't seem to be an option any more', much less in direct relation to the May of 2025 policy change. So I'm asking what's changed that would stop me from re-entering Argentina while still on my tourist visa, and how exit +...

    Visa extension

Got any anecdotes or quotes on that? I'm debating whether to still try the border run. What does it mean if it doesn't work? Surely they'll let me in if I pop over to Colonia and back, as I'd still be inside of my tourist visa. So then I'd have some kind of issue departing the country a couple...

Best way to ship a laptop out internationally?

I'll probably bring it to the DHL office at Santa Fe

Best way to ship a laptop out internationally?

I was wondering about import/export taxes. But this isn't a sale, it's returning an item to an employer/client's office. Wonder if there's a way for me to declare this. You mean in order to obfuscate the specifics of the laptop and its value? I'll actually be returning it including its original...

Best way to ship a laptop out internationally?

Eeps, estimated shipping costs US$ 350. Beggars can't be choosers I guess. Thanks.

Best way to ship a laptop out internationally?

I've read the horror stories in this thread but didn't want to revive a thread that was started 10 years ago. I'm coming to BA with a laptop that I will need to ship back to the client once the project is over. My thinking has been to travel to the airport (EZE or AEB) just for this, and find...

    Is Public Transportation Safe?

For the subway you can use contactless debit and credit cards (including Apple Pay and Google Pay) if you use the gates with the purple screens, which are usually the leftmost ones.

    Shameless plug: bandashoy.com

Hi everyone. The #1 reason I love Buenos Aires so much is its endless cultural offering, especially live music. However I've always found it a pain to find out what's playing any particular night without having to sift through endless websites or Instagram accounts, and I've missed some great...

    Latest on visa overstays?

    > Do you pay the overstay visa at the airport? Approximately how much is it? I forget how much it is, I believe less than USD 20. But if I recall correctly you need to pay it in cash. You can do it at the airport (they'll direct you to some other booth/office for that, from which you return...

    Western Union money transfer

    > Lately Western Union transfers are taking 5 working days (or 7 or 8 days). I don't know why. I've been doing WU every couple of weeks for the past 4 months and the transfer never took more than 10 minutes. I could walk over to a branch and it would be ready by the time I arrived. I made the...
