I mean even prior to the increase people have been sending well over 100,000 pesos per transaction via WU for awhile now. Sending $500US back with a $200 WU rate is still 100k peso. Could be they are starting to more actively check due to the devaluation happening right now

All these recent comments are weird. I've seen a lot of people comment before they send over $500 USD a month without any hassles and now people are being flagged?

Think there was a discussion earlier in the thread about it. But like you said I doubt anyone truly knows what WU is doing.

Wonder why they can't do the transaction at the immigration office. Or is the bank also at the airport? Does the paper give you 10 days to exit Arg? I would most likely do this in the future but not on the same day.

Great explanation on the recent jump. It seems that the CCL is now back in line with inflation. Do you see a more gradual increase now? Or too hard to call given the volatility happening around the globe.

I recently travelled up to Iguazu (Argentina side) and they never checked my visa when flying domestic. They did check my passport to verify my identity was correct. I am still in my visa period though.

WU dipped to 202.6. Thankfully transferred a few days ago but was about to make another when it swapped at 2 on the dot. Guess I'll go back to waiting. 🙃
