What would you bring to Argentina with you?

Fascinating - I take Tetralgin to the US from Argentina for mine. The most effective OTC remedy I've found.

What is more “third world” - Buenos Aires or San Francisco

And now a judge (in TX, of course) has determined that free preventative medical exams and procedures are, somehow, "unconstitutional". God bless Amerikkka!

What is more “third world” - Buenos Aires or San Francisco

Ah, the wonderful Daily Mail. Never mentioned that it was determined that Bob Lee was acquainted with his killer. Better to just put it off as yet another random act.

What is more “third world” - Buenos Aires or San Francisco

The climate is definitely a factor - let's talk about the homeless in Houston, San Antonio, Austin, Albuquerque, LA, NOLA, etc.

What is more “third world” - Buenos Aires or San Francisco

I had a sidewalk lunch in SF last week (at Tony's), and had my iPhone sitting on the table the whole time. Never worried once.

What is more “third world” - Buenos Aires or San Francisco

I live ten minutes from the city, and go there regularly. I would not wear a Rolex, because I have better taste, but I'm also not stupid enough to leave valuables in the car in any major city. In BAires, public transit is rife with pickpockets. In BAires, criminals are coddled when they steal...

What is more “third world” - Buenos Aires or San Francisco

Yep, God knows no great architecture or restaurants in SF, and no incredible scenic beauty. The weather sucks, because it's rarely too hot or too cold, and only 18% of the city's area is devoted to public green space. On the up side, I never worry about wearing an Omega watch, using my iPhone...

Rat coming up the toilet! Common in Buenos Aires?

Except that a rat can crawl through the space between the bowl and the seat - but one would probably have some difficulty getting up the side of the bowl.

Using a driver's license as ID in lieu of a passport

I used mine all the time before I got my residency. No one ever gave me any grief.

Where to select the monthly package I want on Personal Mobile?

When I had service with Claro, I had an idea for a commercial: Two friends sitting at a café in BA, phone rings, person answers, "Hola...hola...hola?" Looks at his phone, then the friend and says, "Se corto...no tengo servicio." The friend says, "Claro." YMMV

    Pizza Update 2022

Piola has locations in the USA as well, several in FL and two in Houston. The coolest thing they do is all you can eat gnocchi on the 29th - generally around eight sauces to choose from, under $20.
