My move was delayed due to COVID 19 !

For tourists? Impossible to predict at this point. Bajo's 2021 prediction may be turn out to be right. I imagine we might see what Uruguay has just announced - that all travelers will need to get a certified covid test before traveling.

What will the Dollar be worth End 2020.!

This alone is going to help a lot - "With a five-year window of no amortization payments and an average coupon rate of under 2%, Argentina would receive valuable time to re-allocate resources in support of structural reforms, social sector spending and poverty relief." Do you believe there...

    A lot of advice needed

There is a train that goes from BA to Quilmes, along with many buses and combis. Not sure on the cost of a crappy car. Since you'd be going the opposite direction of most traffic I'd assume the commute wouldn't be bad, but I don't know.

    A lot of advice needed

Yes the peso has lost maybe half it value since then. At that time the $55,000 was probably around $1,200USD per month. If they pay for accommodations and health insurance like the original poster then $1,200 is more than enough to survive. No, they won't pay you any part of the salary in USD...

    How Uruguay tamed the virus

If you're following your own logic you can't compare Uruguay to Cordoba Province because Montevideo has a larger and denser population than Cordoba Capital. Plus Uruguay has the disadvantage of having a porous Northern border with Brazil...

What will the Dollar be worth End 2020.!

I think they are both senile old men, so my opinion doesn't have to do with politics. Biden has floated Jamie Dimon as treasury secretary. Larry Summers is a major economic advisor of his. Wall St will run his administration. Corporations will be fine. Even if the tax cut was rolled back it...

Fabled cafe La Biela likely to close permanently

I agree with what you are saying sergio. I just think we have slightly different concepts of updating. I mean more improving quality than anything else. I wouldn't want a coffee that was brewed in a pitcher minutes or hours earlier either. Let's hope for the best.

Fabled cafe La Biela likely to close permanently

I'm pretty sure they don't play music, but I can't remember 100%. I would say loose tea is actually more modern than using those crappy tea bags. To update a menu doesn't mean globalizing it either. For example, some of those classic cafes still use cafe torrado or other coffee that isn't of...

Fabled cafe La Biela likely to close permanently

As many commented here, Los Galgos is a prefect example of an "bar notable" that is keeping up with the times. It's not about playing rock music, but more about updating the food and drink menu, some decor, but preserving all the classical architecture.
