SIDE NOTE: The pizza at Antonino's is FANTASTIC, one of the best in the city imo. Happy to include the table charge for it 😋

    Obesity epidemic in BA

This guy's channel on YT is a good starting point https://www.youtube.com/@CarnivoreMD fyi - I eat ground beef most days of the week, which is pretty cheap in my local chino, and pretty good quality. Of all grains, white rice is my preferred option, although I rarely eat it myself. Much better...

    Obesity epidemic in BA

Not expensive, definitely cheaper than McDonalds and fast food in general! I've been eating this way for a few years, never had constipation (I hardly ever break wind either). Most of my fiber comes from fruits. I'm not saying avoid fish, just that personally I tend to not eat fish because of...

    Obesity epidemic in BA

Cheese and meat (as long as they're good quality) are not the problem. A good diet of beef, organ meats, dairy (milk, cream, butter, cheese) fruits (any) and some organic raw honey is all you need to thrive. This isn't an expensive way of eating. Focus on what is good for your gut. Cut out all...

    Tigre Daytrip recommendations? (Walks/Restuarants?)

Heading to Tigre this Saturday and wondered if anyone had any good recommendations of what to do there. I've been many times but always seem to do the same thing! Any good restaurant recommendations that you can take a boat to? Ideally I'd like to also see some nature! Are there any sort of...

New Years Eve in Buenos Aires

Head down to Puerto Madero, there's a big fireworks display at midnight then a number of bars/clubs that stay open well into the night. We went to Asia de Cuba in PM a couple of years ago for NYE and it was a lot of fun.

    Pushy Argentinian therapists

I'm currently seeing a family therapist who was messaging me literally every day to arrange our next visit wether it be in person or videocall. She's pretty expensive so I had to tell her I just couldn't afford to see her so often and since then she's calmed down. It was getting quite intrusive!

RIP Azimo! Was anyone using them to send money from the UK? Desperately need an alternative!

Had a look at Remitly, seems they will only send to an ARG bank account, which I don't have. I was hoping to find another service like Azimo where I could send the money via Arpenger, or similar. Has anyone used Moneygram to send money from UK? Can I collect it from somewhere here that ISN'T a bank?

RIP Azimo! Was anyone using them to send money from the UK? Desperately need an alternative!

I exchanged dollars through a company on WhatsApp recently, delivered to my door on same day I ordered. Very professional service. DM me if you want their contact details.

just that Arpenger isn't a bank, more of a money sending service.

Yes but with Remitly you have to transfer to an ARG bank account which I prefer not to do. Azimo with Arpenger was a great alternative :(

RIP Azimo! Was anyone using them to send money from the UK? Desperately need an alternative!

I was using Azimo to send money to myself (via Arpenger) for the past 5 years or so (at the blue rate!) but got an email from them saying they're no longer in business. Anyone know of an alternative? I need to send myself monthly salary payments paid into my UK HSBC bank account. Any...

Where Can You Buy Humus Here?

Top tip: Hummus bought in a jar is always bad here. Fresh is always best when is comes to this delicious creamy beige magic.
