Thanks everyone! Had a blast in Colonia - well worth the trip. Kids enjoyed running around freely and my honey took photos for hours. Thanks again for all your help.

Rich One, don't have Argentinian cards, only American. I'm assuming that USD is good there too.

    Trip To Colonia.

Today we are taking a day trip to Uruguay. Bought the tickets to SeaCat. Really looking forward to it. One question: do they have a "blue rate" thing there too? I'm getting really itchy to use a credit card - miss the feeling of spending "virtual money" :) Thanks.

    Back Home To Estados Unidos.

After a wonderful month of staying in Buenos Aires, we have a short week or so left. We really liked Buenos Aires with all it's culture and everything it has to offer. I know we will miss it. On that melancholic note, I will miss this forum a lot. I may even stay a little active (if it's not...

    Dumb Question On Subte.

Just tried the subte - maboy had a ton of fun. Actually, my daughter enjoyed it too. internationalguy, I'm a big history buff. Although, I specialize in 20th century, but I wouldn't have confused AK with TX. Perhaps with Alabama, but not Texas. Any Russians or Armenians on this forum?

    Dumb Question On Subte.

    Jazz Bar

Somewhat related to the original question: is there a restaurant with live music (preferably, tango) where it would be advisable to go with kids? Thank you.

    Dumb Question On Subte.

I wonder how many dumb questions one must ask to be legally freed from starting every next question with: 'I have a dumb question...' :) We've been now in Buenos Aires for almost a month and really enjoying our stay here. My 4 yo really wants to experience Subte (read: daddy, I want to go on...

    Guitar.

Yesterday splurged moneys at Mercado de las Pulgas and got myself an Antigua Casa Nunez very antique-ish guitar with an unusual leather case. Not sure if I'll be able to take it to US with us or not. In case we don't, if anyone interested in buying a guitar on July 2/3 please let me know.

    Blue Rate.

Thanks for all your help. For the past 2 weeks I've been exchanging 1 to 8 with our property agent. I think it's pretty fair.

    Ultram

What about sleeping pills? Wine being so criminally cheap here, after a few bottles it's hard to fall asleep. PS I know about mixing meds and alcohol. I don't do any meds at all. Just curious if you could buy any sleep aid.

Iso: Us Immigration Lawyer/expert In Ba

EdRooney, I'm not an attorney. I do know a bit when it gets to US immigration (some of the knowledge are dated). I also know several attorneys in US that can potentially assist. Do you want to PM me with your question or situation and I see if I can assist? Cheers.

    90 Minutes In Buenos Aires

This reminded me of a story. I used to work for a Fortune 100 company (prior to my interim retirement) and one of my VP's had to fly to India to visit our team there. After a long (really long) flight from Atlanta (it was either through London and/or Dubai), he landed in Delhi and was promptly...

    Argentina Columbia Game.

trennod, it's like standing in the street corner and asking every girl if she would sleep with you. 199 out of 200 will say 'no' or ignore you (at best), but one may just agree with you. But for that to happen, you need to be standing in the corner of the street. The attempted point was that...
