    Climbing Aconcuagua

Guys, the drugs are there "just in case," I wouldn't be using anything except for Acetazolamide in case I need it. I would more than likely administer it to others with AMS, HAPE or HACE while I am on the way up Aconcagua. I am on a pretty good acclimatization schedule as of now. If any of...

    Expats Trekking/climbing/outdoors group...

Currently, I am in Las Cuevas, the last city before the Chilean border, some 10,000+ feet above sea level, with everything closed and only enough people that live here to count with my hands. I will be here for a while, until November 15th, training to go higher, & acclimating. However, I will...

    Climbing Aconcuagua

I'm at Penitentes at the moment, training on 4000+ meter peaks until November 15th. I am open to hikes up Pissis in La Rioja and climbing Ojos de Salado in Catamarca in October. I can't be reached by email because I will be down to check my messages and other stuff once a week. You can try to...

So far mine has been a classic.... Moron... That´s right folks, MORON!!! There´s even a university named after it too. Poor grads from that uni if they happened to be living abroad especially in an English speaking country. I can see it now... So... Which university did you graduate...

I USED to drank mine out of a sterling silver bombilla until my ex & I broke up and my stuff is scattered between here & the US (yes, the bombilla is mine sheesh...)... The taste is like night & day. My favorite brand is La Merced. I have tried several brands as well but it's not as good. You...

Hmmm... maybe we all should try to have a get together before I leave. I'm equipped enough to do Everest, but I don't have double plastic boots, but I use ski mountaineering boots and a pair of alpinist mountaineering boots & super gaiters instead. It would be redundant to have both anyways...

    Climbing Aconcuagua

and back down of course, I won't be doing K2 anytime soon, remember I'm a safety 1st, hero last, kinda guy.

    Climbing Aconcuagua

True, this peak isn't exactly a big wall or K2 so it's not as bad... Skiing off from the summit of K2 is suicidal. I'm always a safety 1st kinda guy, having an avalanche probe helps a lot, especially after a snowstorm on the descent when the trail is covered, thank god for GPS & tracking right???

    Climbing Aconcuagua

No, never needed them, so far so good... They're there "just in case" or if I need to treat someone with altitude sickness... You'd be surprised at how many people climbed unprepared... I'm one of those climbers that aren't trying to break any records, just getting there while helping others...

    Climbing Aconcuagua

Will be leaving in a few days, starting from Ushuaia, and work my way upwards towards Mendoza & the ceiling of America. Just brought back my full down suit (will be sweating @ -50F with just t-shirt & shorts underneath, with a good laying system, -100F is a joke), and randonee skiing equipment...
