How often do you experience internet outages in BA?

It happens for sure, already around half a dozen times this year for me. 2021 is by no means an outlier. Outages range from less than an hour to several hours.

The Guardian: "Time to challenge Argentina’s white European self-image, black history experts say"

Ah, when I read the post you reference I was mildly troubled by it, but also recognized it and couldn't place from where. You have just reminded me. Unnerving indeed, and not neccesarily from the poster who I suspect was trying to get a rise, but more by other posters who nodded in agreement.

New Law requires that 17 Dangerous Dog breeds be registered or face possible fines.

I would suggest the same. No stats from me either, although I think record keeping on bites from small breeds would be incomplete anyway.

New Law requires that 17 Dangerous Dog breeds be registered or face possible fines.

For sure, little dogs tend to be more tenacious in general day-to-day activity. However, I have never seen a yorkshire terrier, shih tzu, or chihuahua tear a cat apart but I have seen a pit bull do it. I have also not read many stories about those small dogs killing people. It is absolutley all...

32% of Argentine households without fixed Internet connection

I have seen some differences in Argentina compared to other countries aside from with fixed internet much more downtime than I was ever getting in the UK. Another difference is like many things tech-related, Argentine is a couple of years behind. And then of course, the companies themselves...

President Sanchez of Spain Visits Bs. As.

Do Argentine's really have a superiotiry complex? The people I contact with the most are family, and I do not see them thinking they are superior. I don't socialize a lot so I am interested how does the superiority complex manifest in day-to-day life.

We are talking about Perón yes? Juan Domingo Perón? Former president Perón? Today seems a good day to be a bad person.

32% of Argentine households without fixed Internet connection

I am not sure why everything has to be a comparison with the U.S. However, I have done some work in the area and always wonder why the reporting on fixed internet usage in the U.S. is all over the place. It seems no-one knows who is using high-speed fixed or not, but as you point out, most data...

President Sanchez of Spain Visits Bs. As.

But he did not say Argentina is the most European country genetically, if he had, it would have been a pointless but nonetheless "meh" thing to say. He was suggesting something entirely different.

    Closed stores

No, I think it runs on a store by store basis. I am not talking about the size of Carrefour but rather the financial success of a single store. Each supermarket will have a budget and Carrefour will not just throw money at a failing store (not past a certain point). I worked for Tesco, the...

    Closed stores

I think the Carrefour Hipermercado on Juan B; Justo opposite Velez Sarsfield stadium will close soon. When I was in university I worked in a supermarket and as the business started to fail we had to choose which products to buy from the supplier (obviously the ones that sell) and ignore products...

The Guardian: "Time to challenge Argentina’s white European self-image, black history experts say"

Was just doing some research on this because my memory is at its limit and it seems Suarez is also found to have said "I don't speak with blacks". It is either Evra is making up a whole conversation or Suraez was saying some offensive things.

The Guardian: "Time to challenge Argentina’s white European self-image, black history experts say"

Evra absolutely knows the difference, he speaks Spanish. Well enough to have started the argument by telling Suarez "concha de tu madre". Terry's was actually a very similar situation. Ferdinand says he called him a "f*%$ black c%£" while Terry says he was saying "Anton, do you think I called...

The Guardian: "Time to challenge Argentina’s white European self-image, black history experts say"

This is not entirely true. Evra asked Suarez "why did you kick me" and Suarez replied "because you are black". Only those two players know 100% what happened but it went through investigation and Suarez was found guilty by the Independent Regulatory Commission. Telling someone you kicked them...

The Guardian: "Time to challenge Argentina’s white European self-image, black history experts say"

Manchester United fan here. To be fair, I don't think he was branded racist in the media. Usually when that happens there is no way back and Cavani is well liked by the media in the UK after a good season. Also, I don't think it was a friend, but I may be wrong on that. Just a fan I thought. If...

@on the brink - Apologies I didn't mean to offend you and thanks for your reply. We all move in different circles and I previously wrote a comeback post furthering the debate, but there is actually nothing to debate about. You have one expereince I have another, and that's fine and no reason to...
