    cost of living

Fruit and veggie prices do vary by season, so when looking at the numbers, keep that in mind. I include them because it is interesting, but its not necessarily a good indicator of inflation. Prices of things like beer, soap, tuna, etc are a much better indicator, and even chicken, meats and...

    cost of living

For those that were asking, and anyone else who is interested, we've done another update of our cost of living page. What may interest people already living in Argentina is we keep track of prices at Jumbo, mostly food and some household items, in order to keep track of inflation. Matt...

    Hostels in Peru

I personally would not recommend this place. Although the center has beautiful architecture, it is dirty and polluted and much more dangerous than other parts of Lima. I'd stay somewhere in Miraflores or Barranco, there is more going on, and imo much prettier, plus your by the ocean.

How is this area in bsas?

The Chacabuco address is better than the San Juan. The San Juan location can be a bit dodgy, but isn't that bad. However, I'd stay in Palermo if you are worried about safety. Matt

You can also find natural peanut butter at dieteticas (health food stores). It is cheaper than imported PB, but not quite the same. Its just pure peanuts, though more liquidy that the usual natural stuff you find in the states. It doesnt get hard when you get to the bottom :) Matt

    Best Croissants in Buenos Aires

My favorites are Lucio's on Guemes and Scalibrini Ortiz. Its a Pizza/Pasta restaurant, but with a good bakery and amazing croissants (although they have lots of the glaze, so if you don't like that, you wont like these). Another favorite is in Las Canitas, but I forget the exact location. A...

    Buenos aires drinking water

I have not seen brita filters or anything similar in BA, would also like to know if anyone has found something similar. You can buy filters that attach to the tap, but they are really expensive. Matt ExposeBA

    advice on clothing

I also agree, wait till UK. In BA, you can find cheap prices, but it will be bad quality. Anything that is decent quality is quite expensive.
