Penalty for Staying in Argentina Illegaly???

Steve Thanks for responding, however, you didn't answer my question. I asked whether one needs residency to qualify for state medical care and education, I wasn't asking about the level thereof. Besides, I don't know where you're from but my experience with many people from the "first world"...

mcaffa, I can't see from your post, when it was posted? I have a related question for all you veterans out there: While living in Arg on a tourist visa, do you qualify for free state medical and education? It may seem like a stupid question, but I've read the constitution, which states that...

An argentinian with a few questions

Very interesting thread! I also live in a third world country, South Africa and I want to relocate to Argentina. Being a philosopher I spend many hours thinking about the world and the way it's moving and I would like to share a few observations I've made. Before I do, let me say that I neither...

    Anyone know jewelers in BA?

Illegal activity in the trade is very strange for a country that doesn't produce diamonds! That type of thing tends to be confined to countries where people can trade in rough contraband (unpolished diamonds). Anyway, thanks, I'll check it out once I get there.

    Dollar & peso: 2010 forecast

I couldn't agree more! Having said that, one would think that countries that produce gold and silver, would stand to gain from such trends, not so? Well, I live in South Africa, where we have more gold than ANY OTHER COUNTRY IN THE WORLD!!!! Just as a matter of interest, our gold production is...

    How to talk to Argentines

I don't live in Arg yet -planning a move... But I did have a meeting with reps from the Argentine embassy on Friday regarding our plans and I found it very strange, almost surreal. There I was, trying to convince them what a wonderful country I think they have, and they were trying to convince...
