Hi Shamil,
There's a group of people that care for the stray cats at the Jardin Botanico and help them to find homes. You can look at their facebook page here:

Good luck!
There's a takeaway restaurant / armenian provisions store called Medio Oriente, on the corner of Malabia and Cabrera (in Palermo) that sells little tubs of freshly made hummus, babaganoush and other middle eastern dips. Totally recommended!
The one on Scalabrini Ortiz is Vivero Mario. Not sure about delivery, but it's run by a friendly bunch of people and has a good variety of plants.

From what I know, visa applicants are asked to show invitation letters only when they don't have one of the two - a hotel booking (and state on the visa form that they will be staying with you) or sufficient funds to cover the trip.
If it's the first, you could draft a letter like the one above...
Club Andino Bariloche is the mountaineering organization that set up most of the refugios in the area, and have detailed maps and information about the routes. Try calling them, or take a look at their website on www.clubandino.org
I think you're also required to check in with them before and...
@amsam - You could also work out a return trip with a remis (ask around in your barrio, or check Mercadolibre). The last time I went to the airport to pick someone up (May 2013) I paid 300 pesos from Palermo to Ezieza and back, including an hour's wait.
When my parents were visiting a couple of months ago, I bought tickets to Iguazu for all 3 of us on the same booking, entering my DNI and their Passport Numbers into the form. I got the resident rate in pesos (paying with an Argentine credit card). We checked in online, printed out boarding...
Just a heads up - tried to go to the Yayoi Kusama exhibit last Sunday evening, but there were about 400 people in queue just to enter. This week should be a bit better, but I'd go early or expect to wait.
Speaking of advertising, here's last year's campaign for Schnieder in which men coyly apologise for 'thinking that no meant yes.'
In most countries, that's rape!
I use another brand, but it works the same way. Most brands here don't have the placebo pills, so you're supposed to stop for 7 days and then start the new pack.
I bought a regular prepaid sim and got it cut for about 10 pesos at a shop I found on Mercadolibre. I can PM you the address if you like (it's in Palermo) or you can check on Mercadolibre for one that's close to you.
Don't forget, the tourist visa is also written all in Spanish. So the airline and immigration staff are used to seeing at least a few of those every single day!
For leaving Argentina, the DNI along with the valid temporaria visa stamped in your passport will be enough. For coming back, I've flown through the Bombay airport showing just my DNI and passport. All I did was point out the expiry date, which they will obviously understand. But I think it...
I can withdraw 3000 pesos a day with my card, though I think some banks stop at 2000.
You need to do it in separate transactions (at the same machine), with a maximum of 1000 pesos per transaction, so maybe that's where the confusion is coming from.
It's called a Certificado de Domicilio. You need to go to the nearest police station, show them your passport and pay 10 pesos. The next day, a cop will come over to your house to verify that you live there and hand you the certificate. It's usually quick and painless.
I'm down to my last bar too! I asked the salesgirl at Farmacity a couple of weeks ago, and she said that they haven't been getting stocks from Dove for the past month or so. A bit puzzling, though, because you still see the deodorants everywhere.
I have a flight to Bariloche for a 2 week vacation tomorrow morning! How bad do you think it's going to be? Should I consider not going?
Or fly in and try to go to Villa La Angostura or similar instead?
I don't have an answer for you (though I would love to know myself). But I was wondering - if mobile kitchens are illegal, how come the costañeras are full of chorizo and parilla trucks?
