    Still an American at heart

According to my experience with buying here in Argentina, I can assure that the service is one of the worst in the entire world.

    "Right to work" in Argentina

1). What about if someone came as a tourist and wants to open for example a "kiosko" (it's only an example)? Will migraciones accept his application to temporary residence? 2). For someone who has a residence based on short term student visa (less than 6 months for example), could he switch it...

    "Right to work" in Argentina

Thank you Steve for your valuable answer as always! But any employer (business) can take the necessary steps on behalf of the foreigner (tourist for example) in order to gain temporary residence or there is a list of employers that are already registered in migraciones as allowed to hire...

    "Right to work" in Argentina

If someone comes to Argentina as a tourist with the intention of living here. Is it obligatory to get the work contract from a company registered in migraciones/ allowed to hire extranjeros OR he can work wherever (a restaurant for example) and he gets work contract from it and then apply for...

Is the DNI for naturalized citizens different?

@dsp27 as long as the first and last names are not misspelled, who cares about where the person was born 😁 Your correction was before or after you signed it?

    Citizenship for minor children

My question is: if you are argentino naturalizado and you get married outside Argentina with a non-Argentine woman, your son/daughter will have direct access to the Argentine citizenship or they will have to wait also until they get 18 years old. And will they be considered argentinos nativos or...

    Citizenship for minor children

You will be told that they can acquire citizenship only when they are 18 years. I know two friends from two different countries who are told this same info. Also if my memory serves, the member "el cordobés" has mentioned on his experience about how he got citizenship that he was informed that...

    Where to apply for residency?

Based on my own experience and friends' experiences, make sure you get the permanent residence before anything else because that's the first request they will ask you for in the juzgado if your intention is to apply alone for free. But of course the last decision is yours. Best of luck!

Is the DNI for naturalized citizens different?

A friend of mine sent an email to the juzgado to ask if it's possible to correct a little detail on his carta de ciudadanía and the answer was as follows with capital letters: "LAS CARTAS DE CIUDADANÍA NO PUEDEN SER MODIFICADAS". So I think that could be an accurate answer to your question

Extension of stay and visa rounds

On the Migraciones website, it's published that the required minimum passive income for rentista visa is 30.000 (treinta mil) pesos argentinos, and 1.500.000 (un millón quinientos mil) pesos argentinos for visa investment and 30.000 (treinta mil) pesos argentinos for visa pensionado.

Extension of stay and visa rounds

The most of the info on Google and Migraciones website is inaccurate and outdated. As I told you yesterday, I prefer to read people's experiences rather than official websites as you might hear: "Seek advice from someone who had a similar experience, and don't ask the doctor" ;)

Clear updates about residencies in Argentina

Getting updated info (from people who recently got through this experience and want to share it) is exactly why I asked here in the forum as Google is full of misleading information, even the info published on the immigration official website is outdated.

Clear updates about residencies in Argentina

Thanks to everyone here for the precious answers! Now if you don't mind, we move on to the visa pensionado and I am going to ask questions that I think they may occur to anyone interested: 1. What are the required papers to submit? 2. What is the required minimum pension (in US dollars and...

Clear updates about residencies in Argentina

You mean you can get in/out Argentina for as many days as you like during the two years (before you apply for citizenship) and this won't affect your application to the citizenship? Because in the requirement list, it is mentioned "dos años ininterrumpidos". That means a person from a country...

Clear updates about residencies in Argentina

Thank you for your clarification, Alby! Besides keeping your status as rentista resident, you may be interested in applying for the citizenship after two years of living in the country. In this case, you can apply for citizenship if you stay inside Argentina 183 days each year for two years OR...
