Nature day trip from BsAs with public transport

Thanks! I'll look into Villa Ocampo. We did take a lancha around the Delta and saw Casa Sarmiento - was lovely. We would do a Colonia trip perhaps but last I checked, you need a PCR, which we don't want to mess with for a day trip.

Nature day trip from BsAs with public transport

Hi all. Sorry, I haven't quite been able to find a thread with this exact question (but do point me towards it if there is one). We're looking for a day trip on public transport outside of BsAs where we can get some nature and/or spend the day in a laidback town. We've gone to San Antonio de...

    Western Union money transfer

When I did this, it still didn't mean you could necessarily pick up cash from an international transfer FYI. I was still turned away from one or two a while ago. Best to go with ones others have had luck with.

Do I need a special permit to work remotely for my US-based company?

Yes, exactly. And when you complete the FEIE form, it asks what country you were working in.

Do I need a special permit to work remotely for my US-based company?

For US citizens, since the IRS always wants to know what money you're making where forever, is there any potential risk on the US tax side? E.g. saying you made money in the US when you weren't in the US or saying you made money abroad (and the forms then ask which country) if you aren't...

Can someone point me to where Migraciones aren't doing the prorroga de permenencia any longer? Thanks.

    Booster shot in CABA

Just wanted to add that I know quite a few people (10-15) back in the UK who are double jabbed (even triple) and have caught covid (two for the second time), particularly in recent weeks with the Omicron surge. Luckily, they've all had mild cases, most likely thanks to being vaccinated. If...

Do I need a special permit to work remotely for my US-based company?

Thanks, everyone. I was interested in self-employment remotely and for less than 6 months (3 + an extension), so the mentions of a US company and being here longer don't apply. I also wasn't searching for anyone to give me a certain answer so much as an answer (!) but everywhere seems to have a...

Do I need a special permit to work remotely for my US-based company?

Going back to the original question on this thread, I'm trying to determine if it is legal to work remotely while self employed for less than six months while on a tourist visa. (I appreciate forums and consultancy articles aren't the final source when seeking official-type answers, but at this...

How to call a US number collect

I'm just trying to make calls within Argentina but it does seem 0810 isn't free. No worries, I'll get there! But thank you for the kind offer. :)

    A comment on taxes

Thank you all for your thoughts. A lot to look into (and on a final, related note, if anyone has an accountant here in Argentina they'd recommend who could help me dig a bit more into my situation and the options, I'd gratefully accept any recs).

How to call a US number collect

I know I don't have credit at the moment for calls, so no. I imagine it would work if I added credit, but making calls on Skype (rarely, when I can't from WhatsApp) is usually cheaper. Skype doesn't allow calls to 0810 though (and maybe a few other types of numbers). Thanks.

Health Insurance for Entry to Argentina

I believe SafetyWing should also work as it includes covid and quarantine cover. The coverage limit in general though ($250,000 if I recall) may not be high enough for some people's comfort level though.

How to call a US number collect

Sorry if this isn't related enough, but does anyone know how to call 0810 numbers? You can't do so via Skype it seems and I have a data-only SIM. Do I just need to add saldo with Claro to call from my phone? Or is there some other Skype-type alternative I'm unaware of? Thanks!

    A comment on taxes

Thanks. My understanding is that, if it actually happens, the new Digital Nomad Visa being discussed would be for 1-year and tax free during this entire year (unless I'm mistaken). I guess we'll see...

    Alternatives to Air Bnb?

Also trying to figure this one out so would welcome any PMs being forwarded to me or thoughts posted here! It seems either try to negotiate on the side with AirBnB owner and accept the risk that comes with that or just suck it up and pay at the official rate? I've looked on booking.com but...

    A comment on taxes

Hi all. I'm waiting to hear whether the Digital Nomad Visa being discussed might actually come to fruition any time soon. I understand that would provide a visa for 1-year for remote workers here and would at least be free of tax as far as Argentina is concerned. I've just accepted a job offer...

    Western Union money transfer

Sorry if this has been answered somewhere (as I have tried to have a look!). I have USD in a US bank account and GBP in an account in the UK. I've been here a few weeks as a tourist but am now planning to stay longer, working remotely for a UK company and getting paid GBP into my UK account. So...
