Does anyone have any ideas about the following situation. I am from the USA and have a dni but do not live in Argentina. My wife is Argentinian BUT no longer has a Argentine passport, she has a dni and hers differs from mine as hers shows she is Aregentinian BUT she doesn't reside in Argentina...

The internet says that one can discount taxes paid overseas from Argentine taxes. But, it also says pensions are not taxed in Argentina. They are in the US so how would the tax discounting work, or does it actually work at all?

I am considering staying longer term in Argentina but I see that there is no double taxation treaty with the USA. Does anyone living here have experience with the tax situation for US citizens?

I tried western union originating in US and it worked once then afterwards the transfers get rejected. Anyone knows why and how to resolve the problem. The bank staff say they dont know where in the system the rejection happens.
